What to expect

Calligraphy has a delicate sense of beauty, and the subtle changes in fine lines, dots, and shading enhance its beauty. There is also a sense of quiet beauty, and it is important to keep one's mind quiet and focused when writing letters

Even beginners can learn how to use the brush by practicing repeatedly. It is important to note, however, that it is important to understand the techniques used, rather than just practicing in the dark

【Special】 The teacher has applied kanji to the foreign name of a client and come up with a Japanese-style name written in kanji. Since each kanji character has its own meaning, you should know what meaning the character used in your name has

we came in a group of 5, staffs are very generous and friendly, they will try their best to communicate with us for most times. The caligraphy class was fun but might become less focusing in a large group setting. kimono choices were not that many, and the location-wise is quite misleading. Not photogenic places nearby

10/10 recommend this experience! Kaori, our instructor is very kind, patient & explains the process of writing calligraphy really well! we both got to wear traditional attire & for anyone wearing a kimono, you have a wonderful selection to choose from. For those wearing hakama- empty your pockets before changing to avoid dropping anything. Samurai Honour is beautifully appointed & there’s a change room with lockers. The space is gorgeous, and we’re very excited to receive our photos taken during our lesson. A highlight for us was getting our names translated into Hirigana & Kanji + the meanings- we felt very special and well taken care of. Thank you Kaori!

This was a super fun experience! The staff went above and beyond. They gave us plenty of time to practice both our name and a kanji that we chose, and also took many photos. I was also very impressed at the dedication to making sure that everyone enjoyed the experience and walked away having learned something. The staff spoke many languages to convey information.

The calligraphy lesson has been one key highlight of our trip. Our teacher madam took so much time to patiently teach us Kanji style calligraphy. She gave us gifts and all of them customized. She took multiple photographs and we are truly happy and grateful we experienced this. IT IS MUST FOR ANYBODY coming to Osaka!
