Reviews
Super fun experience! The guides were super knowledgeable in sharing about the different stars and constellations and showing us stars through the telescopes, and the tour included a free group photo and postcard at the end! Was a nice experience sitting in the chairs and blankets provided and just looking up at the stars :)
Booked this via Klook and it was one of the highlights of our Twizel trip. The sky was incredibly clear—seeing the stars in the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve was truly unforgettable. The guide was knowledgeable and engaging, and getting to use telescopes made the experience even more special. Loved that they also provided a free photo under the stars! Just note that it’s weather-dependent, but overall highly recommended if you’re in the area. group size:
did not manage to attend for this due to bad weather. nonetheless, staff provided updates and were prompt in replying to update on whether the activity is going ahead. also, they were very helpful to reschedule. however, this is largely weather dependent so do prepare a few days if you MUST star gaze
Unfortunately the tour was cancelled but the facilitators was very responsive in addressing our queries.
Even though the guide has excellent delivery and storytelling which make the experience great, compared to the Tekapo stargazing tour, this one honestly doesn’t worth the price. The tour comes with no blankets no drinks and heater, and the seats they provided are plastic chairs which are very quite uncomfortable when you need to keep your head up for at least an hour.
