4-day, 3-night in-depth tour of Jiuzhaigou, Sichuan

During this trip, my family lost important documents. Fortunately, we met a very attentive tour guide who assisted us in contacting the restaurant and helped us retrieve our documents, which made us put down the big stone in our hearts. Other than this incident, the entire trip was wonderful. We visited many beautiful places and the itinerary was very rich. The tour guide gave detailed explanations of the routes and history and culture of each place, allowing us to have a deeper understanding of these places. In particular, the snow scenery of Huanglong left a deep impression on us. It is definitely a scenic spot that must be visited once in a lifetime. Additionally, our accommodation was very clean and comfortable, allowing our family to sleep well every night. In short, I highly recommend this trip. Whether it is the scenery, itinerary or the tour guide's service, we have left wonderful memories. 😊

Jiuzhaigou was magical despite rain and peak season. My mother and I aren’t fluent in Mandarin but still enjoyed the tour. Extra ¥315/pax covers Huanglong cable car, Jiuzhaigou & Dujiangyan shuttles, and audio devices. We travelled with 18 friendly Chinese tourists, creating a lively atmosphere. Driver Mr. Yang handled the mountain roads with skill; guide Yang Ke was knowledgeable and clear in his instructions. Howard Johnson Hotel was old, poorly maintained, and would not recommend any food from this hotel, while Dujiangyan’s 明智上春假日酒店 was clean, modern, and served the best breakfast. The 7-hour ride from Jiuzhaigou to Dujiangyan and walking downwards for 4 km at Huanglong, and about 6 km at Jiuzhaigou made the trip quite physically demanding especially with the crowd! In our case, Sanxingdui was replaced by Jinsha Site due to peak season. Do note that there is no hotel drop-off; we walked about 900m with luggages while other tourists were sent off to hotel.

The tour guide explained everything in detail and helped us with any problems we had. The kids were thrilled to see the pandas, the meals were delicious, and the trip photos turned out beautifully.

Good tour overall, tour guide was professional, got to see many of the sights we wanted. Food and hotel provided were decent. A lot of walking due to the scenic area but that is to be expected, the tour did their best to optimise the routes for us. Jiuzhaigou was especially beautiful.

Our guide Jing Shan was extremely knowledgeable on many aspects of the attractions, including the historical, religious, cultural background. And he was very attentive to all our needs and requests. We really enjoyed the trip very much.

The itinerary was quite demanding, with long travel times that often cut into meal times and required early morning departures. The accommodations in Jiuzhaigou were disappointing, feeling outdated and reminiscent of a bygone era. However, given the almost all-inclusive nature of the package, these shortcomings were somewhat understandable. Ultimately, the trip's value lay in the opportunity to visit the desired attractions without the stress of arranging individual transportation.
