Reviews
informative tour by the ferry crew that toured the island on a bus come covering the main sites. well organized. would like to have visited the lighthouses and some stops of the tour but weather was quite bad on the day.
A great way to explore Rottnest Island! The 90 mins ferry ride was comfortable and the Discovery bus tour covered many scenic spots around the island. The guide Eli was knowledgeable and shared interesting facts along the journey. Loved the coastal views at West End. A convenient option if you want to see the island without cycling around.
Pretty nice trip. The ferry transfer is okay and leaves exactly on time. The tour with the bus guide is only about 1–1.5 hours, then you have your own time after. You can swim at the beach, so better bring extra clothes. Just be mindful of the time so you don’t get left by the ferry. There are also stores around where you can buy food. The carrot cake is the best! also, please do not touch or feed the quokkas!
Rottnest Island is a must-go in Perth. Simply show the QR code from the confirmation email at Jetty to get on cruise. From Perth you need to change to another cruise at Northport. The waves can be quite rocky. The 90-minute bus tour is informative but do note that it’s not a hop-on-hop-off bus so you can only get off at West End to have a quick visit and get back on. You may find some of the Quokkas around the restaurants.
The guided tour around the island was a very good choice. The guide, Malcolm, was very detailed in his commentary and I learnt much from him. It will be a much better option than cycling, especially if you’re not a very strong cyclist.
We love this trip we go aboard at 9:30 13:30for bus 16:30 go back to Fremantle. Arrive Fremantle is 5:05 this trip give us good experience we can have a very good branch at the island and have a nap and start for the bus trip. If you can’t walk or ride a bicycle it will be a very good choice.
Very convenient. The experience on the island was wonderful! Enjoyed the sightseeing and we also got to meet many quokkas roaming around. Would love to go there again.
Must go if you visit Perth for the first time. Greatly experience with the guided bus tour and train ride. Scenic view and you can take photo with the cute Quokka! But do note that the itinerary stated in this Klook package is not very accurate. The boat will leave Rottnest at 4.30pm instead of the stipulated 11am. Be prepared you to stay at the island for almost a day. It's worthwhile!
Eli was the host and Cos was the driver. Eli explained so well on the ecology and the history/stories of the Rottnest Island that I don't want to leave in the afternoon. Cos was a safe driver. Thumbs up to both! BTW, love the quokka!
Don’t miss this out if you are in Perth. I arrived early in the Jetty to give myself time to change my voucher to tickets for my 2 way journey and the bus tour. There are many options to go around the Island but the easiest way is to take the bus tour. I availed the bus tour that took 1.5 hours. After the tour you are free to roam around but make sure you are in the port at least 20minutes before departure. I walked to Pinky beach, a lessthan 1km walf one way. Quokkas are so cute. I have lots of pics and videos of them. The ferry trip took an hour and a half one way (1 hour Swan River trip and 30mins Indian Ocean trip). Literally, you can feel the fast journey of the ferry while in the Ocean. If you have sea sickness, please bring your meds. The staffs can provide sea sickness bags, they are roaming around the ferry. Amazingly, we saw 2 dolphins following our ferry in the swan river.
