our highlight for sure! it’s so rare to be able to get our on a lake that used to be a glacier and to marvel at the newly formed icebergs. the trip was very smooth and we didn’t get sea sick at all. it was a bit cold when the boats went quick- make sure you bring a beanie!
Stunning views. Informative tour. Worthgoing.
We booked a cruise for 2/5, and Klook also shows 2/5, but I don’t know why the supplier booked it as 2/25. Remember to confirm it when booking. But the staff was very enthusiastic to help us solve the problem, and finally we were able to carry out this activity successfully. Thanks to the staff! The trip was amazing, beyond my expectations
It was mid-November when we went, and the scenery was very beautiful. We could see the milky blue lake water, the glacier front, and the ice floes. Due to global warming, the glacier retreat is very serious. If you have the opportunity to go to Mount Cook, it is recommended that you make this trip. Note that the manufacturer seems to remove this product (actually the Glacier Explorers from the Hermitage hotel) from Klook after summer starts. I checked again after summer and couldn’t buy it.
Great experience to be out and learn about Glacial and Global Warming. The experience is great, more of an education type. Not for those looking for exciting activity.
The weather was super hot that day, and there was no air conditioning in the bus. It would be better to have moderate air conditioning or open some windows; it was really cold on the lake, and the glacial lake was really special. New Zealand was really a living geography textbook. .
very exciting, fantastic job by staff and wonderful views
You can get very close to the floating ice, which feels great, and the tour guide's explanation is also very good. Only before boarding the boat did I know that I couldn't bring any bags with me, so I had to leave all important things in a locked box on the shore. It would be better if there were relevant instructions in advance.
The boat guide was excellent and taught us so many facts about the icebergs.
