Reviews
it was a really fun experience! the staff from the stylist to the assistants are professionals and efficient! they were also very kind. i’d love to do this again next time!
The experience was adorable for us! It's a something to do in Japan, wherever you choose to wear a kimono. My husband and I got to walk around Odori Park and Miyoshi Shrine, since they're just walking distance from the rental shop. The staff were also super friendly and accommodating to us before and after the rental service.
Unbelievable service! Although they couldn't speak English well, they tried to use their phone to communicate with us. Their kimono is also superb. I chose the red one, everyone said it is such a beautiful kimono.
one of the cheapest kimono rental stores in Sapporo and in Japan. The entire service and their website are friendly for foreigner. you can also read more information and choose the kimono on their website. we also booker their photography service for one hour and the camera man was helpful and speak English well.
It was very refreshing to experience kimono in the snow for the first time. The staff at Mitsuki Sakura were very professional. Thank you to all the staff for allowing us to leave wonderful memories~
Thank you, Miyuzakura, for fulfilling the little girl's adorable wish of dressing up in a beautiful yukata and being a little Japanese-style princess for a day ☺️ We visited Hokkaido Shrine and made many wonderful memories! The staff at Miyuzakura are all very friendly, and communication in Chinese made the process very smooth. I'm sharing my experience and recommending Miyuzakura to friends who are interested in kimono experiences!
The staff are very attentive. Even though we talked through google translate, we communicated well. Auntie helped me put on a dress and brought lots of fabric to choose from. The aunties helped us put on the outfits with great care and attention. Thank you. The photographers are very hospitable. I recommend them. It was a good experience.
I went in mid-January and arrived at 11 o'clock (I forgot that I scheduled it for 10 o'clock, everything can be arranged immediately, there is no waiting time), and I chose the most ordinary kimono (because I think there are not many expensive styles/very beautiful ). Boys are thinner, but girls will pack a few more layers, and will help you add warm packs before and after. I personally prepared low-cut long-sleeved underwear and long yoga pants (they also have low-cut long-sleeved underwear as backup). Finally, there will be a big black shawl, and the girls will have an extra white furry shawl, but they are stained/purple-ish. A headpiece will be loaned to you while you style your hair. The shoes will have transparent rubber covers to protect them from getting wet from ice and snow. Unlike Kyoto/Tokyo, not many people wear clothes here. I didn't have much time and was afraid of embarrassment, so I took a taxi directly to Hokkaido Shrine and waited for the taxi at the same place on the return trip. Return to the shop at three o'clock. Take off your shawl when taking photos. Note that it will still get cold when the wind blows, especially your hands and feet. Overall very satisfied.
The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They even helped me to decide which Furisode colour matched me the most. They also very patient and even though I’m not Mandarin or any Chinese dialects speaker, there was no any communication barrier. I strongly recommend to go to Mitsuki Sakura cause it’s definitely satisfying!! Using their service is the most satisfying thing I did in Sapporo!! Book right now!!!
located in the Tanukikoji Arcade, easy to find. when you enter tell the staff your name and reservation time. they get quite busy but are very efficient. we chose our Kimono and then we're taken to the back to get partially fitted. then we were taken to the front for hairstyling. I highly recommend that you get the package with hairstyling. they have several options to choose from. lastly we were taken back for the Kimono dressing. we rented umbrellas (1100yen); purses are free to use. went to Nakajima park for pics.
