Perfect location next to San Marco Piazza and tons of shops and restaurants. Hotel had really nice sitting area on a canal. Good breakfast. Overall best hotel we have stayed in on our 4th visit to Venice

Really appreciate the great location, friendly & welcoming staff & the quiet calm of the hotel that is just steps away from the center of Venice. It was safe, clean, comfortable and provided me with the perfect travel hub for my extended stay while traveling alone.

I loved that this hotel was right off St. Marks square which made it easily accessible to the water taxi and local shops and tours. I enjoyed walking a block to the square and listening to live orchestra bands each evening until 11 pm at night. Felt safe as a solo travel in the area. You had the option of taking a private water taxi to the front door of the hotel, but the public water taxi stand was just across the square and much cheaper and only one small bridge to cross. Sure wish I brought less luggage. There is more than one Hotel Cavalletto so be careful you don't get off at the wrong stop like I did when taking the water taxi (Vaporetto). Despite what Google maps says your stop would be San Marco Square and not Fondamente Nove. Beautiful view of the canal with the gondolos parked under my window every night, and every morning you can watch the young men clean and get the gondoliers ready for the day. There is breakfast in the mornings, not a lot of options if you are vegan. The scrambled eggs were a little too runny and not the way I like them, but overall for the average non- vegan person it's an adequate start to the day with options such as: fruit, yogurt, sausage, bacon eggs, juice, coffee, tea, crossoints, biscuits and jams. I would stay again at this hotel.

The view is such a Venice dream. The room was so cute and vintage looking and had everything we needed. The hotel was conveniently located and allowed us to get where we needed to go quickly for our excursions. Breakfast was alright not a big selection and had to walk a little ways to a different hotel for it.

The hotel is close to all attractions clean rooms , breakfast very good . Highly recommend this hotel

Stayed there a couple of days after a cruise, and the location is perfect, the staff is great, and I would certainly stay there again,
