The hotel itself is great - everything you need for a good price. However, it is in an incredibly rough area of Hamburg & would warn against staying here for any female solo travellers. Felt very unsafe as soon as I left the building even though it was just a 10 min walk to the station.

I found the place very clean. I liked my room. I found the staff cordial and very helpful.

The Hotel and amenities were well maintained and beautiful. The neighborhood is not the best for female travelers or solo travelers in general. It’s next to a bus stop, which is helpful. The rooms were unique and comfortable for a short stay. The speakers in each room were interesting. The showers and bathrooms were clean but would be better if they were maintained more frequently.

Room was clean, as were the separate toilet and shower facilities. It was just that I had economised too much. I should have paid extra for a proper room with a private bathroom and ample room for my luggage. Staff were really good and helpful. There was a reasonable bar in the wider reception area. This was also the area where a buffet breakfast was served. It was an "eat all you can" buffet, but the choice was very limited. No hot food at all. And the room was too small to accommodate all the guests. It was available only from 800am onwards, which was too late if I wanted a full day out.

The hotel is awesome.Yes, the rooms are basically closets with a mattress and two feet of ground to stand on. I splurged and got the double bed room and do that, I can't imagine squeezing into the single. But the bed was comfortable, it was quiet, there was ZERO light in the room with the lights off, so if you like dark rooms, you'll love this. It's a deep cave. But there was a light switch on the wall right next to your pillow so easy to light things up. Built in speakers for bluetooth. The people who work there keep the place perfect. It's all rather new and everything is clean and well designed. There is a cafe and bar downstairs which is decent and a rooftop lounge area where you can smoke, drink or just hang out with plenty of good furniture. I spent two nights and really enjoyed my stay. The neighborhood is kinda cruddy, with people sleeping on the sidewalk, but it didn't feel dangerous and a short walk to a great, lively street and plenty of sidewalk cafes. it's just a few blocks to the train station. If I'm travelling alone, I'd certainly stay there again. It had a good energy and was very clean. Two people in the tiny pod would get tough, but for solo travel, do it.

A wonderful capsule hotel! Great staff, very clean! Absolutely would stay here again. Good pricing and very close to the Hauptbahnhof. The area surrounding gets a bad wrap. As a solo female traveler I exercised more caution late at night, but never felt unsafe. Don’t be stupid, and stay aware/trust your gut and you’ll be fine.
