On the first day of our Penghu trip, it was very windy and rainy. Our tour guide, Xiao Hei Ge, was humorous and engaging. He provided detailed explanations at every scenic spot we visited, and every snack he recommended was a must-try Penghu delicacy. I really enjoyed having Xiao Hei Ge as our guide and would love to have him again next time.

In Penghu, you will encounter creatures you cannot see anywhere else and experience a breathtaking underwater world that surpasses your imagination. The fish here are completely unafraid of people and will even surround you in groups. If you have an underwater camera, you can capture a sky full of stars akin to those seen through the James Webb Space Telescope.

From August 11th to 17th, we stayed in Magong, Penghu, for seven days and six nights. On the 12th, we tried another barbecue restaurant, and on the 15th, we decided to pick another one for the next day. When we saw that Shanshui Summer BBQ advertised fresh seafood delivered daily, we decided to go there. We confirmed over the phone that we would be using a Klook voucher, and they suggested we arrive at 5:30 PM. We arrived on time and found that this time slot was perfect: easy parking, and we could get food almost immediately without waiting in line. The owner managed everything smoothly. She was concerned that the enoki mushrooms and clams in our foil tray would take up too much grill space and that we might not eat enough if we grilled too slowly, so she took them to be heated elsewhere (she also suggested the enoki mushrooms to us). Besides the oysters, the unlimited squid was truly fantastic. Our family of five had a wonderful feast. After eating, we took a leisurely stroll back to the car, enjoying the summer evening breeze. Thank you to the owner and the young boss.

I found it to be an excellent value, and the food was surprisingly delightful. Our favorite was the cactus fruit vinegar, which was incredibly delicious and refreshing. The service staff's attitude was top-notch, and every dish was exquisite and unique. We especially loved the steamed fish; it was a Penghu sea fish with exceptionally smooth and tender flesh, quite tasty. Overall, it was a perfect 100 out of 100. If we have the chance to visit Penghu again, we'll definitely go back for another meal! 😋

Food Taste: Regarding the seafood, which I was most looking forward to, the shrimp weren't as large as I expected, about 40/50 count. The mussels also tasted just average; those at Xiang XX Tang are much better. The crab meat was decent, and the sashimi was quite fresh; I had two rounds of it. The freshly carved steak was also pretty good. There's soft-serve and regular ice cream. Towards the end, the soft-serve couldn't solidify fast enough, coming out very quickly and very soft when dispensed. For alcoholic beverages, it's worth noting that there's a choice of cold and hot Gekkeikan sake. Overall, I feel the price is a bit high for what you get.

The staff were very friendly. The elevator was a bit old, but the room seemed to have been renovated. Overall, it was very comfortable, and the location was convenient for trying local snacks. I would definitely want to stay here again. The price was reasonable, highly recommended! 👍

It's very clean and tidy, well-equipped, and the location is quiet. The soundproofing isn't great, you can hear things outside the door, but it doesn't affect the stay. There's no elevator, so climbing the stairs is a bit tiring, but everything else is great!
