Beautiful room and the Club Level is well worth the added cost for the included food and alcoholic beverages. But, that's where it ends.
In our premium, extra cost room the bathroom sliding/barn door's latch was broken & wouldn't stay closed. The whole trip we had to shove a washcloth under it to keep the door from sliding open when closed. That's embarrassing.
The 2nd low point, & it was truly a massive low was a family with 1 or 2 young kids crammed into one room across the hall from us. They were loud, at ALL hours. Singing, playing the TV at full blast, letting their kid run & scream up & down the hallway, etc. We could clearly hear all of this in our room with the door closed. They didn't look like people who usually stay at hotels like the Ritz, so maybe they didn't know acting like that in a hotel, especially a luxury hotel is frowned upon?
It was infuriating & unfortunately, diminished the whole experience. By the 2nd day, we were at our wits' end & called the front desk. In a premium room, on the premium floor at a luxury hotel this shouldn't happen. We were surprised the Ritz-Carlton allows children under 12 in their Club Level rooms. Those rooms should have restrictions, like maximum number of people per room & no kids to ensure guests paying that premium have the kind of stay that meets the expectations set by the Ritz-Carlton's own room descriptions.
