We did not use any amenities. There is no swimming pool or gym. But the hotel had shuttle to the train station

Excellent hotel. The staff was extremely helpful, as expected in a quality Japanese hotel. Even some of our unique requests were handled perfectly. The breakfast had both Japanese and western options; whatever you wanted, it was there. And most people spoke about how good quality it was. The room was great. Robes, slippers, beautiful pyjamas. Massive bathtub and excellent hot shower. Finally the location was excellent. A few minutes walk to higashiyama train station, a few more to sanjo station. The entire gion area is a few minutes walk, with all of the parks and temples and everything beautiful. Very highly recommended. I would go again.

We had a wonderful stay at The Hotel Higashiyama Kyoto Tokyu! The room was very nice and comfortable, and the bathroom was absolutely fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Kyoto, and we also really enjoyed the restaurant and bar, which were both excellent. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!

We loved our stay at The Hotel Higashiyama. It is a quiet escape from the crowds at Gion, but only a 15-20 minute walk from the area. The hotel staff are so sweet and helpful with calling a taxi or arranging luggage forwarding. Breakfast was excellent. 10/10 would stay again.
