Saker att göra i Franz Josef Glacier

This was a bucket list activity, we got a good discount compared to the normal full price. I was worried it would feel to quick especially for the cost however it was actually perfect. the poilot Mark, gave us plenty of time to take photos and even took a a beautiful photo for us. There is no other place like this and you just can’t see the glacier from the ground very well so the only way to really appreciate the magnitude and beauty of the whole place is from the sky definitely a once in a lifetime experience worth doing. the ground staff were great too, easy checking safety briefing was in English and we were allowed to have Chinese subtitles. The drive out was smooth the van is clean and very comfortable. The driver Olly gave us lots of great advice and information both about the flight plan, what we should expect and on the drive home some local advice for what places to visit next.

What an incredible experience. Scott is such a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable and cheerful. The hike was around 1.5 hour with lots of time stopping for pictures, so it was not as physically demanding as expected. The glacier is truly mesmerising, it is one of the best memories I have made in NZ!

Vädret var fantastiskt på avresedagen, och vi fick platser längst fram i helikoptern, vilket gav en utmärkt utsikt. Guiden tog oss genom issprickor och in i isgrottor för att ta bilder. Även om turen inte var lång, var glaciärerna vi såg längs vägen mycket vackra.

Tyvärr var vädret dåligt, och det flyttades fram till senare under dagen. Sedan flyttades det igen till nästa dag. Totalt 3 gånger. Jag skulle föreslå en buffert på 3 dagar. Dagen vi åkte blev det soligt dagen efter. Missade evenemanget. Z85 återbetalades.

hoppade från 5 500 meter.. det var en upplevelse utöver det vanliga... valde GoPro-videopaketet.. det var fantastiskt.. jag kunde återuppleva ögonblicken flera gånger... tack till alla i Sky Dive Franz Josef-teamet.. särskilt tack till min dykinstruktör Jono.. han var fantastisk...
