Saker att göra i Namtok Bua Thong-Nam Phu Chet Si National Park

Vi hade en fantastisk resa till Dantewada och Sticky Waterfall. Koh, vår guide, var fantastisk. Han var professionell, vänlig och mycket omtänksam. Han hjälpte alla att ta fina bilder. Det var en fantastisk upplevelse. Rekommenderar detta till alla som kommer till Chiang Mai.

Föraren anlände till hotellobbyn före den schemalagda tiden och kontaktade oss direkt via WhatsApp. Resan från Nimman-området till parken var inte alltför lång, men vi råkade ut för regnperioden i Chiang Mai, och det ösregnade när vi kom upp på berget. Föraren var dock mycket artig och väntade tills vi var redo och hade kommunicerat. Han återbetalade först kostnaden för de drycker som ingick i paketet kontant och väntade sedan på att vi skulle slutföra interaktionen med elefanterna. Både bananerna och sockerrören som gavs till elefanterna var ganska färska, och personalen var vänlig mot barnen och hjälpte till att ta bilder. Beställningsområdet var rent och snyggt. Det var inte för många människor i parken, förmodligen färre än 20 personer.

Föraren var mycket trevlig och hela resan var pålitlig. Bua Tong-vattenfallet ligger i en skogspark i norra Thailand, och klipporna vid vattenfallet är gråvita med en blåaktig ton, vilket är helt fantastiskt! Vattnet är svalt, och när man klättrar upp kan man interagera nära med naturen!

Deedy var fantastisk och hennes son, Peter, var fantastiska guider. Maten var utsökt, pad kra pao. De var så snälla och underbara mot oss. De var mycket välkomnande. Jag och mina vänner älskade dem. 10/10 upplevelse.

We went on the trip with guide James. He has lots of knowledge, great English, and taught us many things about Buddhism, Thailand agriculture, animals, and had an answer to everything we asked. We honestly recommend going on this trip, especially with James!

Detta var den bästa halvdagsutflykten vi har gjort hittills (och vår första 5-stjärniga recension också). Vi tyckte att uppförsbackarna var jobbiga, men njöt ändå av utmaningen och tyckte att det var värt det för glädjen med nedförsbackarna och landskapet. Vi kände oss också trygga med att pickupen följde efter oss och att vi kunde välja att vila om vi ville. På grund av cykelutmaningen kände vi oss extra uppfriskade vid de klibbiga vattenfallen; det är ett måste att besöka! De bjöd på en gratis dryck (kaffe/matcha/smoothie) före resan, massor av uppfriskande frukter, kallt vatten, elektrolyter och till och med näsdukar och våtservetter under hela resan. Det enda som kunde förbättras var lunchen; vi tyckte inte om maten där. Några av hjälmarna luktade också, men det påverkade inte helhetsupplevelsen.

The cooking class experience was excellent. The market tour guide explained everything very clearly, and our instructor, Mai, was great at creating a fun atmosphere, so everyone had a wonderful time. The food portions were very generous; I recommend bringing a food container to take the dessert back to your hotel to enjoy at your leisure. Also, it's definitely worth paying extra for the air-conditioned room because there are mosquitoes outdoors, and it gets a bit warm after cooking. Enjoying the food in an air-conditioned room is the smart choice! The only downside was that the transfer vehicle didn't have air conditioning, and the staff kept taking photos of us but never shared them. I tried contacting them via email and Facebook Messenger, but received no response. I had assumed that since the staff were taking so many pictures, I didn't need to take many of my family for souvenirs, and now I regret not having those photos. It's a real shame that I can't retrieve them!

While trying to decide what to experience in Chiang Mai, I found this place. It's an activity where you can make Ya Dom (Thai inhaler) and herbal balls, which are signature Thai products, so I decided to give it a try! It was very informative to learn about the characteristics and effects of each herb and to make them myself. Most importantly, the instructor was very kind and made it a pleasant experience. Since I made the Ya Dom and herbal balls myself, they feel even more meaningful and valuable to use. The store also sells herbal teas, oils, and balms, and their effects are really great! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun and educational activity!

If you're visiting Chiang Mai, you should definitely try a Muay Thai class! It's a truly unique and exhilarating experience! I booked a group class on Klook a day in advance, thinking it would be less awkward with more people, but I still ended up making a fool of myself. The class started at 9 AM and finished at 10:30 AM, lasting a total of one and a half hours. For the first ten minutes or so, the head coach, Mark, led us through stretching, warm-ups, and jogging around the ring. The Thai coach spoke English, and everyone understood him. Since I was the only Chinese person there, my reactions were a bit slower than others, but I managed to get through the class despite some fumbling. After the warm-up, the head coach started wrapping our hands. After he wrapped one hand, he asked me how it felt. I said it was too tight, so he loosened it for me. But after he wrapped the other hand, I still felt it was too tight. He smiled helplessly and had to loosen that one too. I thought maybe the hand wraps for Muay Thai needed to be tight to protect the hands! But after the class, my hands were covered in marks, haha. Luckily, I didn't get injured. After wrapping our hands, the head coach had us put on gloves and started teaching us basic moves. After each move, he'd have us practice in pairs, repeating until we mastered the basics. My training partner was the assistant coach, "Ice." I often made mistakes because I was too nervous, like punching with my left hand and forgetting to guard with my right. He would tell me that if I didn't guard, someone would "bang" and hit me. Although the assistant coach also told me not to be nervous and just enjoy it, I always had that "good student" mindset, wanting to do my best, which just made me more flustered. In the end, I made the assistant coach laugh. He even started guarding when he should have been punching and punching when he should have been guarding. Seeing how nervous I was, he even jokingly threatened to hit me hard. I quickly waved my hands, "Nonono! You will hurt me! No!" He saw me frowning in fear and burst out laughing. Then we couldn't continue training; we were both bent over laughing. I guess that's my secret weapon in a fight! Making my opponent laugh until they're exhausted, and then winning without a fight. After a 90-minute trial class, I was completely exhausted. My hands hurt from the wraps, and my feet hurt from kicking. Even though I was hitting people, punching sandbags, and kicking tires, I was sore as if I had been beaten up. But it was so much fun and exhilarating! Life experience +1
