Saker att göra i Thingvellir National Park

Our guide (Ari? I am not sure the spelling) but he was awesome! Gave us detailed introductions to the sites and also Icelandic history as we drove to each location. He answered questions and shared funny stories. I like that he shared some of the views of Icelandic people. It’s a good tour for solo travelers

The entire experience with pickup is about half a day, you only spend less than an hour in the water. The drive from Reykjavik is about 45 minutes, prep time of getting into the suits, and briefing is about an hour. When you finally get in the water you are treated to some of the most beautiful and drinkable water I’ve ever seen - don’t drink too much or you may end up buying your suit. If you are lucky to get some sunshine while you snorkel the water elevates to something mind blowing. The only downside to this adventure is that the area is inhabited by minges who are incredibly annoying so be prepared to constantly swat them or look silly so they don’t bother you. You end up in a small group with a guide which makes the experience even better. I would easily do this experience again.

This day tour combined the two most popular sites—the Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon in one day. The price add-on for the Blue Lagoon is actually cheaper than arranging the transfer from the airport or Rekyjavik and entrance by myself. Maybe less exciting than the South Coast or Snaefellness Peninsula, but a good introduction to Iceland. I am glad that I did it on my first day out of Rekyjavik.

Mr. Cuba, our driver from Bus Travel, was an excellent guide and driver. We truly experienced the highlights of our trip. He drove safely and provided a wealth of knowledge about the various attractions.

The local tour operator "Arctic Adventures" is professional. Pre-tour communications was clear & just in time. Unfortunately the day was rainy and windy, though still able to have some nice picture. An enjoyable trip overall.
