Brooklyn Bridge rundturer

Jag tog denna Statue of Liberty Express Cruise idag i New York, och ärligt talat visade det sig vara ett utmärkt beslut. Till en början var jag osäker på om jag skulle välja denna eller den gratis Staten Island Ferry, men efter att ha tittat på några YouTube-videor insåg jag att denna kryssning skulle erbjuda mycket bättre och närmare vyer av Frihetsgudinnan – och det gjorde den verkligen. Jag betalade cirka 25 dollar, vilket jag tycker var helt värt det. Eftersom jag reste en vardagseftermiddag var färjan förvånansvärt mindre trång, vilket gav mig gott om utrymme och tid att ta bilder utan stress. Kryssningen är mycket väl underhållen och har flera sittplatser. Det finns ett öppet övre däck med fantastisk utsikt över stadssilhuetten, plus inomhusdäck för dem som vill hålla sig varma under kallare väder. Guiden var också utmärkt – mycket rolig, informativ och förklarade New Yorks stadssilhuett och närliggande landmärken riktigt bra. Hela resan varade cirka 45–50 minuter. Bekväm, naturskön och definitivt prisvärd.

Lätt att gå ombord! De flesta gick ut på det öppna däcket men jag föredrog däcket med luftkonditionering. Behövde inte lösa in biljetter, Klook QR-koden var allt de behövde. Guiden gick runt med mikrofon men jag hörde honom knappt.

Vi njöt verkligen av den här turen! Ben var vänlig, kunnig och gav detaljerade förklaringar under hela resan. Vi hade en underbar tid med att utforska New York, och den här turen gjorde vår upplevelse ännu mer minnesvärd. Tack så mycket, Ben!

After booking through Klook, I received an email from the tour company, AmigoTour. It stated that the meeting point was on the sidewalk in front of the Hyatt Hotel entrance at 8:15 AM, 15 minutes before the tour started. Around 8:10 AM, I went to what I vaguely thought was the subway exit for the meeting point, and there were about 20 people, presumably tour participants, standing around. There were no signs or guides at the location. The Hyatt Hotel is at the corner of East 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue, and the meeting point was near that corner of the hotel. At 8:15 AM, our guide, Jose, loudly called out "AmigoTour." He checked the list of participants in the order they lined up. I had prepared my Klook eTicket on my smartphone, but it wasn't needed. We were on a half-day tour, but most participants seemed to be on the full-day tour. At the end, the guide told us, "We'll return to the Hyatt Hotel, but if you change your mind, you can switch to the full-day tour, just let me know." We wanted to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge and then to Battery Park and Ground Zero, so we informed him that we would "drop out at the Brooklyn Bridge as per our booking." After that, we boarded the bus that was parked across the intersection, and the tour began. The guide spoke English very slowly, which made it easy to understand. He was also very punctual, and as other reviews mentioned, he was an excellent person. For a tour costing only about 7,000 yen, it covered the perimeter of NYC (west -> north -> east -> south), allowing us to experience areas outside of central Manhattan. While it's difficult to visit areas like Harlem and the Bronx on a typical trip, this bus window tour provided a great experience. We stayed in NYC for three nights, and after being so satisfied with this tour on the first day, we decided to cancel our planned destinations for the remaining two days and just relax. Most of the approximately 30 participants were from Europe; we were the only Asians. This tour seems to only run on weekends, but the cost performance and the guide were both excellent. We were so satisfied that we gave a $10 tip to both the guide and the driver when we got off.
