Čo robiť v Tian Tan Buddha

We went on a very sunny day, the weather was great. We took the Crystal Cabin. There were more sights on the right side – the airport, the big bridge... (Actually, you can see them more clearly from an airplane; the cable car isn't high enough). But on the left side, you can eventually see the Big Buddha and Po Lin Monastery. In the Crystal Cabin, it feels like you're standing on water and above the forest. I later realized that the Ngong Ping 360 advertisement features the panoramic cabin. I believe the panoramic cabin would give an even stronger 'person in the air' sensation. When we arrived, there were still decorations for the 20th anniversary, even though it had just ended. There's an Ngong Ping Bing Sutt (cafe) for photo opportunities. Inside the cabin, only the small windows open for ventilation, so it felt a bit stuffy. On the return trip, in a standard cabin, the sun hadn't set by 6:00 PM because it was summer, and clouds were covering the sun. I recommend allowing more time, 5 hours or more, if you want to visit the Big Buddha in addition to Po Lin Monastery. I didn't go up that day, not only because I didn't have enough time but also because it was too sunny; the weather only became overcast closer to 5 PM. I had been up before, so I didn't go again, but last time I took the bus only to the Big Buddha and didn't visit Po Lin Monastery.

Výlet bol fantastický. Naozaj sme si užili najmä lanovku. Sprievodcovia boli skutočne skúsení a svoje remeslo ovládali dokonale.

This was a great way to see a lot of cool stuff in an organized fashion. We elected to get a crystal bottom car and really enjoyed the beautiful trip on the cable car. Our tour guide, Ivan, was very knowledgeable, communicated clearly, and had an entertaining personality. Highly recommend going to the mall afterwards to grab food. So many options!

Úžasná prehliadka, autobus na vyzdvihnutie v meste prišiel načas, sprievodca bol priateľský a ochotný.

The workshop was excellent, and the instructor was very accommodating. After we made tofu pudding, the instructor also provided materials to make peanut mochi afterward! The instructor was very accommodating regarding food allergies. One of the participants in the workshop had a nut allergy, and the instructor quickly separated the materials to minimize contamination and offered red bean filling for the mochi to the person with the allergy. The instructor also asked for our water bottles to fill them with the leftover soy milk that wasn't used for making the tofu pudding. The instructor does not speak English, but we understand Cantonese.

Price: Buying a package deal doesn't seem to save much money. The Lantau Island cable car trip was a bit different from what I expected, so I'd suggest that those with limited time might not need to go. The biggest advantage is saving time on queuing for tickets at the venue, which is excellent, for example, for the Lantau Island and Victoria Peak itineraries.

This snack voucher is a bit cheaper, but the discount isn't great because it can only be used for certain set meals. If you want to eat at other places, you can order à la carte. The selection is limited to only a few restaurants, not all of them. I hope there will be more options for us to use it, and hopefully better discounts.

Veľmi zaujímavý zážitok, inštruktori sú milí a priateľskí, navyše niečopovedia o histórii Tai O. Prostredie je čisté a hygienické, ale pokojne môžete skúsiť kontaktovať obchod priamo, možná to bude lepšie?

Nedávno sme sa zúčastnili vyhliadkovej plavby po rybárskej dedine Tai O. Autobusom sme sa dostali z autobusovej stanice Tung Chung do Tai O, čo trvalo približne 30 – 45 minút. Po príchode bolo ľahké nájsť nástupné mólo, stačilo hľadať tabuľu s nápisom Klook. Pred nástupom na loď sme jednoducho naskenovali QR kód. Plavba loďou trvala asi 20 minút a ponúkala pekný výhľad na tradičné rybárske domy postavené na koloch, ktoré sú jednou z najikonickejších pamiatok Tai O. Loď sa potom vydala ďalej na more hľadať slávne ružové delfíny, ale bohužiaľ, žiadne sme nevideli. Po plavbe loďou sme strávili trochu času objavovaním malej dedinky pešo. V dedine sú malé miestne obchody. Zastavili sme sa v obchode, aby sme ochutnali absolútne lahodný krémový veterník (šišku) a navrch sme si dali zmrzlinu. Určite to vyskúšajte, ak tam budete!
