If you're visiting Chiang Mai, you should definitely try a Muay Thai class! It's a truly unique and exhilarating experience! I booked a group class on Klook a day in advance, thinking it would be less awkward with more people, but I still ended up making a fool of myself. The class started at 9 AM and finished at 10:30 AM, lasting a total of one and a half hours. For the first ten minutes or so, the head coach, Mark, led us through stretching, warm-ups, and jogging around the ring. The Thai coach spoke English, and everyone understood him. Since I was the only Chinese person there, my reactions were a bit slower than others, but I managed to get through the class despite some fumbling. After the warm-up, the head coach started wrapping our hands. After he wrapped one hand, he asked me how it felt. I said it was too tight, so he loosened it for me. But after he wrapped the other hand, I still felt it was too tight. He smiled helplessly and had to loosen that one too. I thought maybe the hand wraps for Muay Thai needed to be tight to protect the hands! But after the class, my hands were covered in marks, haha. Luckily, I didn't get injured. After wrapping our hands, the head coach had us put on gloves and started teaching us basic moves. After each move, he'd have us practice in pairs, repeating until we mastered the basics. My training partner was the assistant coach, "Ice." I often made mistakes because I was too nervous, like punching with my left hand and forgetting to guard with my right. He would tell me that if I didn't guard, someone would "bang" and hit me. Although the assistant coach also told me not to be nervous and just enjoy it, I always had that "good student" mindset, wanting to do my best, which just made me more flustered. In the end, I made the assistant coach laugh. He even started guarding when he should have been punching and punching when he should have been guarding. Seeing how nervous I was, he even jokingly threatened to hit me hard. I quickly waved my hands, "Nonono! You will hurt me! No!" He saw me frowning in fear and burst out laughing. Then we couldn't continue training; we were both bent over laughing. I guess that's my secret weapon in a fight! Making my opponent laugh until they're exhausted, and then winning without a fight. After a 90-minute trial class, I was completely exhausted. My hands hurt from the wraps, and my feet hurt from kicking. Even though I was hitting people, punching sandbags, and kicking tires, I was sore as if I had been beaten up. But it was so much fun and exhilarating! Life experience +1

I trained at this gym again after three years. Compared to back then, there are more staff members, and the facilities have been significantly upgraded and cleaned, even including a merchandise shop. I highly recommend it because the instruction is tailored to your skill level.

Bolo to neuveriteľne zábavné. Bolo cítiť, že sprievodcovia sa dobre vyznajú v zvieratách a bezpečnosť mala najvyššiu prioritu. Skupina nebola príliš veľká a bola presne taká, aká mala byť. Všetko nám bolo veľmi dobre vysvetlené a odpovedali aj na otázky. Pomer ceny a výkonu bol tiež skvelý. Naozaj jedinečný zážitok, ktorý by mal každý aspoň raz zažiť.

I just finished my experience and had to leave a review! It was absolutely amazing!!! I originally wanted to find a popular boxing gym recommended on social media, but I couldn't book for the same day, and it seemed fully booked. Then I found this gym on Klook that offered same-day 1-on-2 sessions. I was assigned KIEW, shown in picture 1. Although it was a bit pricier compared to others, the coach's emotional value was incredible. I was worried about a language barrier and feeling awkward, but the coach was always smiling and gave loud encouragement when I did things correctly. There was never a dull moment. The entire class was filled with laughter and joy as I learned about Muay Thai. I hope more people who want to experience Muay Thai see this gym and this coach!!!!

While trying to decide what to experience in Chiang Mai, I found this place. It's an activity where you can make Ya Dom (Thai inhaler) and herbal balls, which are signature Thai products, so I decided to give it a try! It was very informative to learn about the characteristics and effects of each herb and to make them myself. Most importantly, the instructor was very kind and made it a pleasant experience. Since I made the Ya Dom and herbal balls myself, they feel even more meaningful and valuable to use. The store also sells herbal teas, oils, and balms, and their effects are really great! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun and educational activity!

My first trip to Chiang Mai on May 8, 2026, left me with unforgettable memories. From JJ's initial introduction and explanation, I could feel the park's dedication to this project. It wasn't a commercial performance tour, but rather one that truly prioritized the elephants' lives and care. The itinerary included a fruit feeding experience, but more time was spent quietly observing the elephants living freely, walking, playing in the water, and interacting. There were no forced performances or rides; instead, we accompanied and got to know them in the most natural way. I also want to tell everyone that if you come to Chiang Mai, an experience like this is truly worthwhile. Even though the journey is a bit long, I hope everyone can understand that it's precisely because they are far from the city that they have more spacious land to roam freely. Watching them live so freely, it felt as if I could sense the elephants' genuine happiness and the feeling of being well-treated.

Vodič bol veľmi milý a celá cesta bola spoľahlivá. Lepkavý vodopád sa nachádza v lesnom parku na severe Thajska, a kamene vodopádu sú sivobiele s modrastým nádychom, čo je úžasné! Voda je chladivá a pri výstupe si môžete užiť blízky kontakt s prírodou!

we were so grateful to have such a wonderful experience with Baan Orjao! The dress up old lady was so gentle when measuring my body shape with the gown, the stylist was so professional that I thought I was a Thai people. Finally, our photographer was so funny and gentlemen . He gave us easy commands with wonderful pictures! We found ourselves was having another pre wedding again!

Návšteva Makkha Health & Spa v Chiang Mai Old Town Massage bola naozaj veľmi uspokojivá a som vďačný za starostlivosť personálu a masérov. Prostredie bolo hneď po príchode veľmi relaxačné, atmosféra starého mesta bola veľmi charakteristická, celkovo čistá, tichá a pohodlná, a personál bol tiež veľmi priateľský a zdvorilý. Maséri boli veľmi profesionálni, sila bola dobre vyvážená a počas celého procesu sa človek necítil trápne ani nepríjemne. Naozaj pomohli postupne uvoľniť únavu nahromadenú počas cesty. Po masáži sa celé telo cítilo oveľa ľahšie a nálada sa tiež výrazne zlepšila. Túto prevádzku vrelo odporúčam, nielen pre príjemnú masáž, ale aj pre celkový zážitok, atmosféru priestoru a pozornosť k detailom. Určite stojí za to ju zaradiť do plánu pri návšteve Chiang Mai, je to miesto, kam sa budete chcieť vrátiť! Veľmi pekne ďakujem za túto službu, naozaj zanechala krásne spomienky.
