Grand La Walon Hotel

Not too bad for the money

I stayed in a Delux Premier Room with a Pool View. The hotel is in a perfect location to explore Kuta and Legian by foot and has everything you need on its doorstep with a circle K minimarket directly across the road which is 24/7. There are plenty of restaurants and bars all in the vicinity of the hotel with a 24 hours restaurant and bar just a 2 minute walk round the corner. The hotel room is very spacious with a lovely big bed, fridge, safe and TV with an excellent selection of channels from all over the world. Wifi in the room is also excellent and fast. Room was made up and cleaned every day of my stay. 2 bottles of water each day in the room. Only thing I did not like was that I was in room 429 at the very end of the block and my “Pool View” was more of a view of the side of the next block rather than the pool and the balcony was not very inviting as it was dull and dark. But I didn’t spend much time on the balcony so it didn’t matter. Breakfast, I didn’t have included however I paid to have breakfast one morning which was very cheap but the breakfast was poor. Food wasn’t fresh other than the omelette station and the coffee from the machine was awful and undrinkable. I’m glad I didn’t include breakfast for my stay as there’s plenty of places close by that do amazing cheap breakfast. Pool area is fine but don’t get much sun but the pool bar prices are very cheap for food and drink which is unusual for a hotel. Overall it’s a great hotel in a perfect area.

WiFi connectivity poor in the room

The room was clean and modern, the buffet breakfast was good, not alot of options but good enough. The A/C stays on while the card is placed the electric port however once you remove the card all the electricity turns off. The location is great with many restaurants close by, if you love coffee head to Art of Melbourne which is 1min walk. Restaurant Crumbs and Coaster great only 5 min walk. The big shopping centre Broadbeach only 10 min walk. I highly recommend this property

clean room great for the price

Great staff and amenities. Everything was clean and comfortable and pool was fabulous

Ac was not so cold.complained couple of times.other rooms and their ac is perfect but twice we moved and both rooms the aircon is not cold.the internet was and is a nightmare.doesn’t connect.you literally have to stand outside of the balcony or go downstairs to use the net.they need to upgrade the televisions too.apart from that the staff are good

Great value for money, great staff , rooms, pool. Basic spa next door, not a flash place but with gorgeous ladies and best massage. Grateful of support. I'd stay again, close to everything

Clean and tidy room great amenities staff were very friendly and helpful. Great selection with menu and the complimentary breakfast was awesome definitely take advantage of the 2 for 1 cocktails at the pool bar.

The staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. The Restaurant was really good, excellent food and really good prices. The room was very clean and comfortable.
