Waitomo Glowworm Caves චාරිකා

First, we walked through the cave, admiring the beautiful natural art created by the stalactites. Then, we boarded a boat and continued deeper into the cave. In the silent cave, the occasional sound of dripping water echoed, and looking up at the ceiling where the glowworms' lights flickered, I was enveloped in a strange sensation, as if I were in another world. The cave tour itself lasted just under an hour. Although it was a long 5-hour round trip from Auckland, I'm glad I went. On the way there, we stopped at a coffee shop for a light meal. Photography is prohibited inside the cave, so at the entrance, they took a blue-screen photo of us, and after the tour, we could purchase data or prints that combined our photo with images from inside the cave.

The guide was very humorous and witty, and their photography skills were also quite good. I initially thought it would be tiring, but it wasn't at all. Inside, you can see not only fireflies but also many stalactites. I highly recommend checking it out. We drove ourselves there, and the location wasn't hard to find.

සංචාරය ආරම්භයේ සිට අවසානය දක්වා හොඳින් සංවිධානය වී තිබූ අතර, තොරතුරු සහිත සහ ප්‍රියජනක විය. රූගත කිරීම්වල ඉතිහාසය සහ තිරය පිටුපස විස්තර පිළිබඳව දැනගැනීම සිත් ඇදගන්නා සුළු විය. දර්ශනීය පසුබිම අතිශයින්ම අලංකාර වූ අතර, අමතක නොවන ඡායාරූප ගැනීමට ඕනෑ තරම් අවස්ථා තිබුණි. සුවපහසු සුඛෝපභෝගී වෑන් රථය නිසා ගමන විවේකී සහ ප්‍රසන්න වූ අතර, මඟ දිගේ ඇති සුන්දර දර්ශන නැරඹීමට අපට හැකි විය.

අපට ගවේෂණය කිරීමට ප්‍රමාණවත් කාලයක් ලබා දුන් ඉතා සුන්දර සංචාරයක් වන අතර, අපි බටහිර ඔක්ලන්ඩ් වෙත බලාපොරොත්තු වූවාට වඩා වේලාسනින් පැමිණියෙමු. අපගේ රියදුරා සහ මාර්ගෝපදේශකයා මෙම සංචාරය වඩාත් ප්‍රියජනක කළ අතර ගමන පුරා රසවත් තොරතුරු අපට ලබා දුන්නේය, මම මගේ පවුලේ අය සමඟ නැවතත් මෙහි පැමිණෙන්නෙමි!

I really enjoyed the trip. I saw the kiwi birds, and they were very cute. Unfortunately, you can’t take photos of them because camera flashes and bright lights can damage their sensitive eyes. But the kiwi birds were very cute! Besides that, my favourite part of the trip was going to Blue Spring. It was so beautiful and looked unreal. In addition, our tour guide was very friendly and told us a lot of interesting things about New Zealand and Auckland.

Our Hobbiton, Waitomo Caves, and Flexi Tours experience was absolutely amazing! Hobbiton truly felt like stepping into Middle-earth, with stunning scenery and incredible attention to detail. The glowworms in the Waitomo Caves were breathtaking, and our guide, Cuppa Tea, was informative, entertaining, and even treated us to a beautiful song. Bunty from Flexi Tours made our journey even more enjoyable with his friendly personality, fascinating insights about New Zealand, and a bonus stop at a beautiful hanging bridge. Our group of four felt safe, well looked after, and had an unforgettable trip. Highly recommend these experiences to anyone visiting New Zealand! 🇦🇺

I really enjoyed my visit, especially our tour guide, Dave from Cheeky Travel. He made the tour so much fun and made sure to explain everything we were seeing along the way. His knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. Rotorua is truly a must-visit destination—I absolutely loved my time here and can't wait to come back!

Nice tour guide. I wrongly booked the destination to Rotorua, so I was so panicked when I noticed this. By keeping calling the CS, luckily they answered and let me change to round-trip back to Auckland at 7am on the trip day. Thanksful for that! Enjoyed a lot in the trip. The nature of NZ is so amazing!
