[Singapore Night Festival 2024] Wonder World: The Machine of Nostalgia
- Wonder World is a nostalgic amusement park resembling those from 1950s Singapore, designed to evoke a sense of belonging and escape from everyday life

- Gated admission entitles one to a pre-loaded card with tokens to be exclusively used for onsite activities including rides and amusement park games, as designed by visual artist Sam Lo "SKL0"

About Wonder World
Wonder World is the Machine of Nostalgia, a magical amusement park from the 1950’s transported through time to help instil a sense of belonging. The amusement parks of the 1950’s was used as a utopian setting where people could seek comfort and escape from the day-to-day grind. Special to Singapore’s cultural heritage, the amusement parks that captivated visitors in the 1950’s were more than fun attractions, they were worlds within themselves that provided spaces for ordinary people to follow their curiosities and aspire to a brighter and grand vision of tomorrow. The purpose of Wonder World is to recapture the spectacular atmosphere of the great trio of “world amusement parks” from yesteryear Singapore.
But simultaneously, within Wonder World, visitors are encouraged to ask themselves what fuels the Machine of Nostalgia and our longing for “simpler and better times''. The amusement park experience seeks to unravel the concept and our application of heritage to the future - a technologically advanced, culturally diverse, and interconnected city of today. In the age of remakes, remasters, and throwbacks, we invite visitors to look beyond the parts that we usually see. To reignite that sense of imagination and wonder in discovering new modes of fun but with meaningful excitement. Wonder World: The Machine of Nostalgia transports people back through time to investigate the very concept of nostalgia, and how it helps instil a sense of belonging and identity amidst the pursuit of life and our dreams.
Each ticket admits one person and entitles one to a pre-loaded card containing 10 credits which is to be redeemed exclusively onsite at Wonder World, and can be used for various activities including rides and game.

About Singapore Night Festival
The Singapore Night Festival (SNF) is the National Heritage Board’s signature arts and culture festival in the vibrant Bras Basah.Bugis precinct Since its inception in 2008, the annual festival has presented a diverse mix of artworks and performances by local and international artists, featuring cross-disciplinary acts and influences which continue to push the boundaries and enthral festival-goers.
Festival-goers can expect to be mesmerised by a plethora of activities, including projection mappings, light art installations, performances, other experiential programmes, and food and retail experiences. A key event in the regional festival calendar, SNF provides a platform for artists and stakeholders to meet, create and collaborate to present exciting, cutting-edge acts, and transform familiar spaces in the arts and heritage precinct for festival-goers.

Посетили старый школьный парк развлечений. Тема ностальгия. Много веселых аттракционов и игровых кабинок. Было волнительно и весело
супер веселое мероприятие! мы с друзьями отлично провели время в последний день, магическое шоу было супер классным и было не слишком много народу
довольно крутой опыт, который пытается включить ностальгические элементы. даже есть персонажи из прошлого, разгуливающие вокруг
Это был отличный опыт с легким выкупом. Я рекомендую посетить эту выставку до ее закрытия.
весело и атмосферно! хотя очереди были немного длинными, а ярмарка была немного маленькой. но в целом я все равно кое-что порекомендовал бы! оплатите на месте с помощью Samsung Pay / студенческого проездного на Klook, чтобы получить скидку 5 долларов.

Отличное дополнение к Singapore Night Festival 2024. Было немного тихо, когда я был (в среду вечером), но я вижу, что в выходные здесь будет много народу.
В тот день моросил небольшой дождь. Было не слишком много народу, поэтому не пришлось долго стоять в очереди. Игры были дорогими, а жетоны быстро заканчивались.
