About High-Speed Rail
Hong Kong High-Speed Rail (Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link) connects Hong Kong West Kowloon Station with the country's vast high-speed rail network, spanning approximately 26 kilometers and reaching speeds of up to 200 km/h. Once entering the mainland section, speeds can soar to as much as 350 km/h. Whether for business trips or leisure travel, Hong Kong High-Speed Rail is the fastest, most comfortable, and convenient transportation option for traveling between Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing and other destinations.
The high-speed train departs from West Kowloon Station and takes only about 14 minutes to reach Shenzhen and around 48 minutes to arrive at Guangzhou, giving you more time to immerse yourself in local sightseeing and activities. Additionally, West Kowloon Station implements "co-location," allowing travelers to complete both Hong Kong's and Mainland China's immigration procedures within the same station significantly reducing crossing times.
The design of the high-speed train carriages balances comfort with practicality by offering economical Second Class seats along with more spaciously comfortable First Class seats. The trains are equipped with adjustable seat backs and charging sockets among other amenities ensuring that even while speeding through your journey you can enjoy a relaxed experience.
