Mount Hua

We came to Xi'an, China for a trip with our parents, and the Mt. Huashan day tour is something we will never forget for the rest of our lives! We took the cable car up and hiked down the West Peak to North Peak route. It was more thrilling than any scary amusement park ride, and the scenery looking down from Mt. Huashan simply cannot be captured in photos or words! Make sure to visit while you are still young, though please note that the difficulty level is quite high!

I climbed Huashan via the West Peak and descended from the North Peak. If you were to go independently, you would have to take a train from Xi'an, but this tour is great because the price is comparable to taking the train. It's very convenient since the shuttle bus picks you up near the hotel. The guide was extremely kind and gave a great explanation of the trip in Chinese on the way to Huashan by bus. I listened to the explanation using the Google Translate app's simultaneous interpretation feature. The guide assisted us via WeChat chat until the tour ended. The chat was in Chinese, but using WeChat's translation feature allowed me to translate it into Korean immediately. When I had questions, I used the Google Translate app to translate them into Chinese for chatting. I took the cable car up to the West Peak, then visited the West Peak, South Peak, East Peak, Central Peak, and North Peak in that order, and descended via the North Peak cable car. (The guide does not climb the mountain with you; they wait at the parking lot.) After descending, we arrived at the parking lot around 6:00 PM and returned to downtown Xi'an by bus. On the way back, they drop you off near the Bell Tower station in the city center. The scenery of Huashan was truly magnificent, and to see all five peaks, you have to repeatedly go up and down numerous stairs. Fortunately, you descend via stairs for a long time all the way to the final North Peak. If we had done the reverse and climbed from the North Peak to the West Peak, it would have been so exhausting that we wouldn't have been able to properly see all five peaks. There are many stairs, but the scenery is truly beautiful, so I highly recommend visiting at least once.

After visiting the Terracotta Army, we were taken to Huaqing Palace. Upon arriving at the Huaqing Palace parking lot, I asked if there was a place to eat lunch. Without hesitation, our guide went out of their way to exit the parking lot and recommend an affordable and delicious restaurant.

O passeio foi bem organizado, sem problemas com comunicação e recolhas. Estivemos em Xi'an apenas por 2 dias e queríamos muito ver tanto 华山 quanto os guerreiros de terracota. Tenho certeza de que pode ser feito por muito menos por conta própria, mas para cobrir ambos os locais em um dia, você precisaria planejar tudo perfeitamente e não perder uma única conexão. Se você não tem tempo para planejar tudo exatamente, este passeio é perfeito. Basta deixá-los cuidar de tudo e viajar sem preocupações. O passeio inclui um motorista particular para o dia, taxas parciais na montanha (teleféricos e ônibus de retorno montanha abaixo não estão incluídos) e um guia turístico nos guerreiros de terracota (que também foi ótimo!).

Tour guide Wu knows the routes well. He takes good photo and videos too. Beautiful scenary if not for the drizzle as fog came n views became less visible. The driver was waiting for us after the tour. Able to rest in the car and not worry about next stop except for hotel. On the whole would recommend this tour w guide Wu as he knew routes and shared stories and history to make the hike interesting and memorable.

Tour guide Jiang's historical stories were incredibly captivating, as if transporting us through time. The itinerary flowed seamlessly, and the pacing was just right. Both the local cuisine and the carefully selected attractions were delightful surprises. It was a truly worthwhile trip, a high-quality, pure-play private tour.
