I did not expect the amount of food we actually had to consume! 😅 Our tour guide Sara was great though. She gave us lots of funny stories and facts about Vietnamese culture. It was a little chaotic arriving at the office meet-up placs. Imagine 4 tour groups all standing around and guessing who their tour guide is. We left around 5 mins after noon and we were given free waters at the meet-up. Sara also called for a cyclo to take us to the Water Puppet show at around 14:45, it wasn’t part of the tour but she made it happen because we wanted to try riding one. We just paid 100k Dong as fare. I attached six pictures but there’s still the barbeque, banana dessert and ice cream.
The tour itself is jampacked! Our tour guide, Khoi let us tried different local food and share us the story about it and other stuff. We’ve tried 4 different local restaurants with about 10 or more different food and a coffee. Our tour guide, Khoi has full of energy and because of that, we are all full lol! For the puppet show, I find it entertaining. Even though I don’t understand what they are saying, I can tell by the action and sequences on what’s going on. For people who has no idea about the place they are travelling to, it is a must to have a tour guide. Lucky that I’ve found this here! Thank you, Crossing Vietnam Tour and Khoi!
Our tour guide Zuri was just amazing. She explained the different backgrounds of each food that we tasted. She was kind enough to let us explore some shops in our own and helped us asked questions. Thank Zuri for such a delightful experience.
It was the best way of trying Hanoi's local delicacies while meeting new people. Sarah, our guide, was great! Shared more shops we could visit after the tour. If you're getting the puppet show, opt for an interpreter or else you'l fall asleep during the show.
We got to taste total of 5 dishes and they were all good! Many thanks to our guide, Hannah who took time to customize our food choices based on the weather and those we haven’t tried yet. Highly recommend this tour!
Had such a good time with our tour guide Sarah! She told us so many interesting facts about Hanoi's history and about different types of food that we could find here, including seasonal specialties like the young sticky rice and the fermented pork sausage roll (very tasty). We would never have been able to find any of these places on our own (: My parents really enjoyed themselves and the food (and if you know elderly Singaporeans, you'll know that they're quite picky, so that's a pretty good stamp of approval).
K was a great guide and showed is the local treats and food that would be near impossible to find on your own. Great food and great information about the old town area. The puppet show was impressive but after a long day could not take it all in. I would highly recommend this tour.
Would definitely recommend this tour. Had some authentic Vietnamese food which were all very tasty. Our tour guide, Rachel, is very friendly and insightful, communicates well, and provided a lot of recommendations for us as well.
We are very excited about this tour since we will be eating different Vietnamese dishes. Our guide Liam was very helpful educating us about the food we are going to try.
We booked the food tour guided by Austin through the streets of Hanoi and hidden gems. Authentic family owned food places with delicious food, sweets and coffee specialties. Great walk and talk.
