Osaka Kuromon Market Dotonbori Half-Day Small Group Food Tour

I had two teenage boys and they enjoyed it a lot. we really liked having a Japanese guide. it was like going out with Auntie. the tour was flexible so we took extra time in one area which limited time in others. there was an option to extend time which was nice if you want to stop along the way. My only reason for doing 4/5 for value is it is labeled as a food tour but no food was included in the cost. It’s really a guided market tour. Well worth the cost for a guide because the markets are like a maze and Google/Apple maps aren’t great navigating markets or recommending best places to try speciality foods. I’d recommend for families or anyone who can get overwhelmed by the hundreds of options. total necessity in the heat of summer to have a guide.

Hiroki,He was not only humorous but also very knowledgeable, and he shared interesting insights about history. His English was clear and easy to understand, so I was able to enjoy the experience without any stress.

I’ve done food tours before that are very structured with small bites at each stop, but this felt completely different in a good way. It was relaxed and personalised, more like being shown around by a local. Yoshi was an excellent guide. We walked through Kuromon Market and Doguyasuji kitchen street, and he really helped cut through what can feel quite touristy. Kuromon can be quite marked up, so it was helpful having someone local to guide us on what’s actually worth it. One highlight was a local restaurant he introduced us to, which was delicious and affordable. I also appreciated that he stepped away so my mum and I could enjoy the meal at our own pace. He went above and beyond by carrying one of our shopping bags and helping me find genuine made in Japan products. He also gave great recommendations for other places in Osaka to try. Overall, a thoughtful and genuinely helpful experience. Highly recommend.

O guia turístico era um senhor muito amável, que conseguia comunicar em chinês e até se ofereceu para nos ajudar a tirar fotos de recordação, contando-nos detalhadamente algumas histórias e origens locais. As crianças também gostaram muito. Foi uma ótima experiência e ficamos muito felizes por ter encontrado este guia.

A Yokko foi fantástica! Ela nos ajudou a vivenciar o melhor de Osaka. Conseguimos experimentar muitas comidas e bebidas diferentes, além de fazer compras!

Nós gostamos do passeio com a Yoko, ela fala bem inglês e foi muito prestativa. Começamos e terminamos no horário.

O guia era muito experiente e nos deu informações detalhadas sobre a história do Japão, templos e santuários. O Mercado Kuromon foi muito interessante, com muitas comidas deliciosas como caranguejo e takoyaki. Foi um passeio muito divertido.

The tour was supposed to be 2 hours but the guide said it was finished under 1.5 hours and didn’t take us to the last stop of Namba parks. The guide may be better suited to local language tours as they were difficult to understand and had difficulty explaining or answering questions in English. The guide provided very little information about what we were seeing or the history and no information about the food at the markets even though it’s called a ‘food tour’. The guide asked to take photos with us to promote their tours but didn’t offer to take photos for us as a family which was strange though when asked he was happy to take some for us. The guide insisted we complete a review (different platform) before he left. Overall a disappointing experience and not the quality we have found previously on Klook.
