When we arrived we went to reception and no one was there. We went looking for someone at the property and found a cleaner who came over to the reception, ask to see my booking and looked confused. She also wanted to see a receipt as they were not expecting us. Saw this in another review as well… so not a good first impression. We then had to wait a couple of hours for our room to be ready… we watched them and instead of cleaning ours straight away they went on their way and cleaned other ones…. And after staying the night… we became aware no one was even staying in those villas… we were the only ones there at the property. No smiles, no kind and friendly interactions like we are used to in Bali… was just a real off experience… we had 3 nights booked and left after the first night… didn’t even bother about loosing out on the 2nd and 3rd night… just got up and left. I would avoid this property all together.

Great location if you like being right on the beach front to watch the waves, but no beach access. Heavy wave and surf action can be very noisy at night. Pool is nice, and gazebos and rotundas provide nice shaded seating to enjoy the views.

Beautiful property with stunning view. Staff super friendly Rooms a bit dirty and could do with a deep clean, curtins very dirty.

This property or room was run down dirty and air con sounded like a truck running all night. Couldn’t see bottom of pool it was so dirty. Furniture needs repair, and broken toilet seat, that every time I used the toilet, the seat slipped and nearly fell off. It’s an insult to the Australian people.

Fantastic location and wonderful friendly staff.If you want a no frills relaxing holiday then this is your place.Many good restaurants within easy walking distance. Highly rated and I will return.

We stayed at Segara Wangi for 4 weeks and really felt looked after by Made, Elou and their team, relaxed and comfortable. We had room 102, right on the ocean, with only the pool between us and the water. The property is well laid out with lush gardens, plenty of good grass, and most villas have a view, not like other places we’ve stayed where to look onto someone else’s villa. Good WIFI in the villa and around the gardens. Quiet enough, we weren’t bothered by street noise or live music from the restaurants at night. The room was large enough, cleaned every day and well maintained. Good comfortable bed, extra pillows and decent hot water. Only a very small fridge and no tea/coffee making facilities however. The “included in the price” breakfast menu was adequate, varied enough even for a month and we never had breakfast elsewhere. There’s a lovely small restaurant right on the ocean as well, basic local menu at very reasonable prices, cold beer but no spirits or wine. Plenty of good eateries within easy walking distance. Overall, we will keep Segara Wangi on our shortlist of value for money places to stay in Candidasa.

Initially I booked here for 10 nights but because it was such a relaxing place to stay with beautiful views and lovely staff I extended my stay. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a great stay at Segara Wangi Beach Cottages in Lovina. The owner is very friendly and gets involved with his guests making it feel like you are at home.
