The property enjoys a premium location, but it is showing its age and would benefit from refurbishment and better maintenance.
We stayed here three years ago and returned again this month, and the difference was quite noticeable. The air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool, the shower water was only lukewarm, and the overall standard of service had declined. Some breakfast staff came across as unfriendly, while the room cleaning team appeared inexperienced and insufficiently trained.
It is possible that staffing levels and service quality were affected by the holiday period and religious celebrations during our stay.
Despite these issues, the location remains excellent and is the property's strongest asset. With improved maintenance, refurbishment, and more consistent service standards, this could once again be a very enjoyable place to stay.
