If you have more time in Munich, you could consider a day trip to the Eagle's Nest. However, if you're short on time, I wouldn't recommend spending too much of your day there, because Berchtesgaden isn't really anything special, just a very small garden that isn't worth visiting. Perhaps that small garden was added because there isn't much else to see near the Eagle's Nest. The view from the Eagle's Nest is decent, but I had imagined it to be much grander than it actually is. It turns out that the so-called Eagle's Nest is just the Information Centre and restaurant at the top of the mountain, which was different from what I had originally envisioned. I thought this place built on a mountaintop would be more magnificent and have a larger architectural footprint. Nevertheless, if you're staying in Munich for several days, a visit to the Eagle's Nest is still an option, especially since the price of a day tour to the Eagle's Nest is relatively inexpensive. I also highly recommend booking these day tours near Munich through Klook; it's very convenient, and Klook provides clear instructions. For single men and women who are concerned about safety or prefer easier transportation without rushing for trains or missing connections, joining a Klook day tour is highly worthwhile. The price is also reasonable, so I strongly recommend it.
