Passeios por Mt. Omuro

We had a wonderful experience on this tour, made even better by our excellent guide, Lin Chenxuan. He was punctual and well-prepared, which set a positive tone for the day. Lin was also warm, pleasant, and easy to talk to, making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. Throughout the tour, he was attentive and highly responsive to our requests, adjusting the pace and details to suit our group’s interests. Questions were answered clearly and patiently, and small thoughtful touches showed genuine care for our experience. Everything ran smoothly and stress-free, allowing us to fully enjoy each stop without feeling rushed. It was a well-organized, enjoyable tour, and the guide’s professionalism and friendly attitude truly made a difference. We would happily recommend this tour and guide to anyone looking for a reliable and enjoyable experience.

Today's weather was perfect for the trip. Our guide, Carter Sasaki, was really enthusiastic. We spent most of our time on the road as the distance to our destination was far, but he kept the atmosphere lively and was sharing about Japan culture. He helped to take good photos too. Wish we had more time to spend at Mt Omuro though. It was an amazing place with breathtaking views. It was definitely the highlight of this trip. Second was the beautiful Jogasaki Coast. The trip went smoothly and we managed to cover every spot planned in the itinerary.

This was a very special and unforgettable domestic group tour! Our experienced guide, Mr. Senmoku, provided engaging and informative commentary on the bus, managing the time perfectly without rushing, which made everyone on board feel at ease! The fireworks were beautiful and spectacular, but it was a shame there was no accompanying music; it felt like something was missing during the display. As it's a tourist area, local food prices were a bit higher, but still acceptable! Trying out the street food stalls was also a unique experience. This tour also includes a cable car ride at Izu Panorama Park, offering breathtaking views from a great height! Due to the large crowds and traffic for the fireworks festival, traffic jams are inevitable, so be prepared! For those who haven't been, it's definitely worth experiencing :)

On February 8, 2026, I participated in the Izu and Mount Omuro one-day tour. Despite the extremely cold weather, our tour guide, Master Long, was very attentive and responsible, completing the entire itinerary. I give it a five-star rating! 👍

This is a less chosen destination, but Izu Peninsula is a really worthwhile visit. I could imagine Mt. Omuro will be more beautiful in spring and summer when its grass is green! Our guide Olivia made things extra special with her kindness, helpfulness, and extraordinary language skills. Til next time!

Mt Omuro is nice with chairlift up. Jogasaki coast is beautiful too. The only disappointment is that we don't get a chance to go eat any of the food along the whole coastal area of fresh seafood. Understandably it is a long drive away from Tokyo. Would like to stay around here next time.

Our tour guide and driver this time was Andy. He managed the time very well. Although he wasn't the type to enthusiastically introduce history and culture non-stop in the car, his calm demeanor allowed me to quietly enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. As for the Izu attractions, whether it was the mountains or the coast, most of them were generally very good, beautiful, and heavily dependent on luck (weather). The only thing I found not very worthwhile was the sightseeing train arrangement. Most of the sections it passed through were tunnels, and the beautiful sea views visible from the window were actually quite limited. So, personally, I don't think it's very worthwhile. If there's a next time, I wouldn't choose a tour that includes the sightseeing train. I hope this experience sharing is helpful to everyone!
