It's very cold when visiting Hehuanshan and Wuling in winter, but the tour guide will find the best sunrise viewing spot for the day and let you enjoy it at your leisure. If there are stars along the way, he will stop the car for a brief explanation and also share some history of the indigenous people. There will be a 5-10 minute stop at each scenic spot, which may seem short, but it's more than enough in such cold weather. The guide will also help everyone take photos at the Hehuanshan National Park sign. During the drive, everyone can rest, and there won't be much commentary. At an altitude of 3275 meters, the air on the mountain is thin, so be aware of altitude sickness symptoms.

This was a great experience for us. We were informed a day before about the pickup arrangements. The bus arrived on time. The weather was good, so we had a great time watching the stars before proceeding to Hehuanshan for the sunrise viewing. Since it had snowed in the previous days, snow and ice were still along the side of the road, adding to the experience. The mountain slopes still had snow. The temperature was freezing, so you need to dress properly. The experience was great because the weather was good. If the weather had been rainy or foggy, there would have been nothing to see.

They come and pick you up at your accommodation within the Renai area, which they highlight. So, it's quite alright, but you need to get up quite early for the sunrise. In my situation, they picked me up at 4:15 AM, and I never saw the sunrise as it was cloudy on that day. I think at this price, it's worth it. It's unlikely you can get this rate if you book the tour outside Renai town or in Taichung instead.

I'm Korean and was worried about a Chinese tour, but it was such a moving and fulfilling experience! The bus driver took care of each person and took great photos for us. I was looking around outside during a break, not realizing we were supposed to gather again, and I'm so grateful to the Chinese couple who looked out for me. The bus arrived on time in front of the hotel, and by 4:20 AM, everyone was on board. The tour sequence was: First, stargazing (the stars were truly pouring down), and the guide explained constellations for about 10 minutes. Second, a restroom stop at the parking lot. Third, a photo at the summit of Hehuanshan. Fourth, admiring the sea of clouds and sunrise at the sunrise point, with photo opportunities. Fifth, taking photos at a spot with layers of mountains visible. Sixth, a restroom stop at the fruit market, with fruit tasting and purchasing (the fruit was really delicious). We arrived back at the hotel at 7:20 AM. This is a tour I would definitely want to join again if I visit Cingjing in the future. Highly recommended.

The scenery along the way was truly beautiful! My driver drove safely, provided explanations, and even helped take photos. The pick-up and drop-off times at the guesthouses along the route were very punctual. When some passengers didn't arrive at the pick-up point on time, the driver had no choice but to proceed to the next stop (which is completely understandable). However, the time spent at each attraction was relatively short, possibly because it's difficult for a mini-bus to park. I feel that groups traveling in a 9-seater van would have more flexibility. Overall, this trip is very suitable for solo travelers, offering an easy and burden-free experience. If you drive yourself, it would be cheaper and more flexible, allowing you to arrange activities like hiking and stay longer at each spot. Highly recommended for solo travelers looking for an easy getaway!
