I'm a regular diver and currently training to become a Divemaster with DiveGurus here in Boracay. I keep coming back because the team is genuinely amazing. The dive sites around Boracay are beautiful and the staff know them inside out. Every dive feels safe, fun, and worth it. An absolutely fantastic experience, arguably the best part of our Boracay trip!!! I'm not exaggerating at all. Since our English isn't great, we relied on translation software to communicate throughout. Andrew was incredibly, incredibly patient, far surpassing any instructor back home. He explained everything in such immense detail! Honestly, I was truly touched! He's super professional; first, he did a trial dive with us, and when we identified our issues, he patiently and effectively helped us resolve them! He's truly amazing. The manager should give Andrew and Thomas a bonus! Hahahaha, they are so responsible, I'm really moved and grateful to have met them!!! Everyone should really dive with them, it's genuinely excellent, the lowest price on the island! The most responsible on the island! Chinese people don't lie to Chinese people, hahahaha, and they don't even have Chinese staff.

The dive center was easy to spot. They sent a text message a day before to remind me of the dive schedule and what to expect. I was alone with the divemaster on the day, but it was still as enjoyable despite the rains. Must do in Boracay.

Even though I had a diving experience in Taiwan last year, due to a back surgery 6 years ago and high blood pressure, the instructor, for safety reasons, required me to be evaluated by a local doctor before going into the sea (at my own expense of 500p). I finally passed the safety check. We then started with video and verbal instruction. I put on the oxygen tank and practiced four safety steps in the shallow water. However, I repeatedly failed and kept swallowing seawater. I desperately shouted to give up and asked the instructor to take my daughter for a boat dive instead. Jenny patiently comforted me. Even though the boat departure time had passed, she hoped I would overcome the difficulties and encouraged me to try again and again. Finally, I was able to go into the sea and enjoy the underwater world. Jenny stayed with me the whole time, holding my uneasy hand, allowing us to enjoy a 5-10 meter experience dive (unfortunately, we missed the boat dive). Nevertheless, thank you, Jenny and John, for accompanying me through a safe experience dive. I didn't have such a hard time passing the diving check in Xiaoliuqiu last year... how strange! Jenny said next time I will definitely be able to complete the boat dive mission smoothly. Alright! I'll do my best!

Wicked Squid ist mit Abstand die beste Tauchagentur, mit der ich je unterwegs war. Von Anfang bis Ende wurde alles so professionell abgewickelt und fühlte sich trotzdem lustig und entspannt an. Sammy, unser Tauchlehrer, war absolut fantastisch – so beruhigend, ruhig und aufmerksam. Er sorgte dafür, dass wir uns jederzeit sicher fühlten, während er den Tauchgang spannend und angenehm gestaltete. Man merkt wirklich, dass ihm sowohl die Sicherheit als auch ein tolles Erlebnis für die Leute am Herzen liegen. Er hat auch fantastische, hochwertige Videos während des Tauchgangs aufgenommen, was das ganze Erlebnis noch unvergesslicher machte. Eve war gleichermaßen wunderbar. Sie gestaltete den Anmeldeprozess reibungslos, klar und stressfrei und war durchweg so zuvorkommend und freundlich. Insgesamt war es von Anfang bis Ende ein so gut organisiertes, angenehmes Erlebnis. Ich würde zu 100 % wieder mit ihnen tauchen und Wicked Squid jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der einen sicheren, professionellen und unvergesslichen Tauchgang sucht.

I was terrified and almost had a panic attack because of my PTSD and GAD but I overcame it. The diver was so kind to make sure we descended slowly and held my hand throughout, reassuring me. My partner was also reassuring. There were a lot of instructions to keep in mind that made me feel overwhelmed, but it's an experience you shouldn't miss. It just seems scary at first, but once you are underwater and see the divers and other tourists, you feel less scared. The photos and videos come free too. However, the experience was short, and you couldn't really go around, but just stand in a small area for photos on a coral reef, and the diver would lure fish with bread to take nice photos and videos. It is one of the exciting activities I did at Boracay with my partner.
