Jiang Cheng is the best! She knows a lot of beautiful places to take pictures. Very professional and friendly. She waited for us to finish our kimono session. We are a family of 4, so it takes time. We love her work; in 30 minutes, we got a lot of pictures and different poses with her own props. She also took our pictures at the Yasaka Pagoda, so we were already comfortable with her. Highly recommended!!!

Incredible experience! I booked 30 minutes before, and when I arrived, everyone was super nice. I chose the simple kimono and had a lot to choose from. Two really kind ladies helped me dress and did my hair; I could choose one of three styles for free, and then I was able to accessorize my hair with pearls and some other accessories. During the day, I felt really comfortable with the kimono, and when I went back to the rental, everyone was once again amazing. I kept the hairstyle, and they even offered me a really sweet gift afterward. I really recommend it!!!

First I need to start by saying that this experience is incorrectly labelled. This only gets you the kimono rental (no tea ceremony, no photography). But we got a great deal on the tea ceremony when we were physically in the shop (and I wasn’t that fussed on a professional photographer anyways). But this was so much fun! We booked a couple and four children - and they really made it a wonderful experience. The tea ceremony was beautiful and very informative and then we had the whole day to explore Kyoto in our kimonos (we had a car so drove to the Bamboo Forrest and the Golden Pavilion to get some excellent photos in our traditional dress).

We had a wonderful time, both during the preparations and the photoshoot. Kimono Fusengawa offers beautiful kimonos with a wide selection, and the hairstyle was done with great expertise. Our photographer guided us well during the session, and we are delighted with the result! We wholeheartedly recommend them; the staff is lovely and very attentive!

The store is easy to find and very close to the bus stop. We had a lot of fun taking photos in the picturesque streets of Kyoto.

The staff were very helpful and friendly! They can speak basic English, and kimonos in larger sizes are available here.

It's a bit far from Kiyomizu-dera Temple, but very convenient near Kyoto Station. To get to Kiyomizu-dera, you just cross the street to bus stops 86 and 206. The staff were all very friendly and communication was not an issue. There were many styles to choose from, and they offered great coordination advice. The kimono dressing and hair styling teachers were very skilled and finished quickly, which made the children extremely happy. We are very grateful to Aiwafuku for giving us such a pleasant memory.
