The tour guide was interesting and easy to talk to, which created a great atmosphere on the bus. It also helped that the weather was perfect on the day I went, but the timing of our visits was impeccable, allowing us to see all the spots in their best condition! Plus, even though a lot of sand, mud, and fallen leaves would get tracked into the bus by everyone, the driver would meticulously clean it every time we arrived at a spot with a longer stay. The soft-serve ice cream at the snowmobile location and the croquettes near Shirohige Falls are truly delicious!😋

We joined a one-day tour with guide Emma. She was full of humor, and since there were Japanese, Chinese, and Filipino speakers on the bus, she patiently repeated everything three times. I've included a photo of Emma walking in the snow from behind. Biei Farm was the most enjoyable stop; we rode snowmobiles. I recommend one per person for a better experience, but this time, the person in front of me was too slow, so I didn't get to experience the thrill of speeding up TT. You must try the milk and ice cream in Biei; they are delicious! However, please note that ice cream is not allowed on the bus. If you bought a tour package with meals, you might not have enough time to finish your ice cream. The only downside of the one-day tour was that we had to leave Asahiyama Zoo before seeing all the animals. The Ningle Terrace was too wet and a bit dirty due to melting snow, and without the lights on, it wasn't very impressive. We should have spent more time at the zoo, haha. If it's not dark yet, you're not interested in cultural and creative products, and you haven't eaten properly all day, I recommend eating directly at the restaurant near Prince Snow Resort instead of going into Ningle Terrace, as the restaurant closes at 3:30 PM.

It was a very nice and senior-friendly experience. Our tour guide, Baste, was very helpful in managing the different nationalities on board. This was such a chill tour — I think I ate the most ice cream I’ve ever had in my life

Our Chinese tour guide, Xiao Zhou, is from Northeast China and is very warm and kind. As it was off-season travel, the overall pace of the trip was just right. The driver was a kind-faced Japanese gentleman. In early October, Shikisai no Oka didn't have lavender, but the rolling flower fields combined with the clear weather were still quite stunning. Furano Farm was slightly less impressive without lavender, but it had many lavender-related souvenirs. On the way back, the guide mentioned that winter in Hokkaido has unpredictable traffic due to snow, with long traffic jams, tired drivers, and a higher risk of accidents. As I prefer a more traditional Chinese approach to health, sitting for long periods isn't ideal. I hope the company can pay more attention to the issue of fatigue driving among older drivers and their physical and mental well-being. Out of the 11 people on the day trip, I was the only one from mainland China, which was similar to my trip to Kyushu in May. Everyone else was young.

Serina was our tour guide for this trip. She was very kind and helpful in taking our group photo. Just sad not to be able to witness the penguin walk. Note to self for next time: always check schedule online.

The entire day's itinerary flowed very smoothly. These locations are quite convenient for those without a rental car. The Kan Yasuda Sculpture Park left a particularly strong impression; although not large, it's well worth a visit. Our guide for the day was also very meticulous and thoughtful in explaining each attraction to everyone, reminding us of things to pay attention to, and sharing many stories, which helped us understand Hokkaido even better.
