I came here just to kill time, but I was surprised by how wonderful it was. As others have written, the audio guide is superb. It makes you feel as if you are in old Paris. Not only does it explain the furnishings inside the facility, but it also skillfully explains the historical background, which is very educational. The view of Place de la Concorde from the terrace is magnificent, and perhaps due to the audio guide I had just listened to, I felt as if I was a living witness to history. I highly recommend it at the highest level.

This building, which began as the Royal Furniture and Furnishings Administration during the reign of Louis XV, subsequently served as the headquarters of the Ministry of the Navy for approximately 200 years. After the Navy relocated, it was restored and has been open to the public since 2021. The interior is a highlight, where the dignity of 18th and 19th-century French state power coexists with Parisian elegance. The rooms are opulent, the furnishings refined, truly a crystallization of craftsmanship. Historical tension is also palpable, with holes remaining in the window shutters for guards to watch outside and aim their rifles. The location, overlooking Place de la Concorde, is also superb, making it a captivating mansion where one can easily lose track of time.

A wonderful experience. The collection is complete and rich, allowing for a thorough appreciation. It's not a very popular spot, but it has historical value and shouldn't be missed.
