Viagem Histórica a Xi'an, ao Mausoléu do Imperador Amarelo e à Cachoeira de Hukou

It was sold to a local travel agency, but now it's 50% more expensive than what local travel agencies charge, and it doesn't even include lunch. Other tour members had lunch included and paid more than 50% less. The tour guide's service was mediocre, and they even wanted me to go to the meeting point myself, even though it clearly stated that pick-up was included. I suggest just going with the travel agencies that have a counter at the hotel; it's the same, and 50-100% cheaper. Next time I travel to mainland China, I won't use this service again. I'll just check with the hotel's travel agencies to see if they have any suitable tours.

A 4-hour drive north from Xi'an, and finally, the true face of the Mother River of the Chinese nation is revealed! One who hasn't visited the Yellow River is no hero, but now, I finally behold the face of the mighty dragon!

The information on the listing is not clear or complete. Pickup time will depend on your location; 6:30 AM is around the time the bus will depart from the meeting point near a theme park outside the ring roads. We were only informed of our 5:10 AM pickup time the day before the trip, which is not a good practice. Even the return time and drop-off points could have been better communicated to the travelers beforehand and not 30 minutes before arriving in the city. After about 4 hours, sightseeing of the Hukou Falls was under 1 hour. Not fond of the time used traveling to the magnitude of the sight ratio. The bus is the typical 4 seats across. The Yellow Emperor Mausoleum isn't really worth going to. They just package them together because both of them are very pretty out of the way, and Hukou is the bigger, more meaningful attraction. We arrived at the city stop Anyuanmen at 9:40 PM, and it made other stops in 2 more places.

The Chinese operator contacted us via email one day prior, and then connected us with their Chinese tour guide via WeChat. They arranged a van to pick us up from the hotel at 5:30 AM to the big bus (55 pax) meeting point. Our tour guide, Evelyn, was friendly and helpful. We returned to Xi'an around 9:30 PM, and the bus dropped us off at the metro train station. The waterfall is beautiful and worth the 8-hour bus ride to see it. The food was average, mostly spicy, but dinner was much better than lunch.

Tour was alright. Sharing the itinerary timeline so others can use as reference as the other reviews didn't mention. Toured on 28 April 2024, tour guide was 小尚. She contacted me around 7pm the day prior and we were told to meet at 6.20am. She gave clear instructions on the meeting point, bus details and also things to note. Bus arrived promptly at 6.20am. 8.45am - arrived at the first rest stop. 11am - arrived at Hukou centre; where we watched an introduction video of the Yellow River. (Fyi, introduction video is not inclusive in the package, you have to pay 50rmb/pax and another 40rmb/pax for Hukou 2-way shuttle bus) then we visited Hukou waterfall, which was not as magnificent as what I imagined. We were given 40mins to tour the area, but it was sufficient. 1pm- gathered at Hukou gantry to head off to resturant for lunch. 1.15-2pm : Lunch. Had to top up 30rmb/pax as lunch is not included. 4pm: Arrived at Huang Mausoleum and went for a tour around the place - both indoor and outdoor. Learnt interesting fact thru the indoor Mausoleum tour. Ended the Mausoleum around 6.30pm. (Fyi, there is a sales pitch at the end of the tour) 9.30pm : Arrived back in town Do I recommend the tour? Join only if you have extra day to spare in Xi'an or you have very strong interest in history. Otherwise I would think that your day could be better spent. Waterfall was not majestic, tour information could be found online. No fault with the agency, everything went well, guide was great as well. Just my personal opinion. Our tour guide, Ms. Shang Lu, was excellent and very polite. She provided clear explanations throughout the journey. I am extremely satisfied with her service, and the bus was very luxurious and comfortable.

珍貴的旅程：看澎湃奔流的母親河，在黃河畔聽黃河大合唱，再謁黃帝陵重温中國歷史一遍。由西安出發來回十五小時以上，十分疲累，但绝对值得。

Dengan pemandu berpengalaman yang menjelaskan semua bagian bersejarah dari tempat menarik tersebut, kami memiliki pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang tempat yang kami kunjungi dan mengapa tempat itu memegang bagian berharga dari sejarah Tiongkok. Penjelasan yang sangat rinci dari pemandu yang berbicara dalam bahasa Mandarin. Transportasi darat yang diatur relatif nyaman untuk perjalanan hampir 3 jam setiap arah, tetapi menjadi menyenangkan dengan cerita-cerita dari pemandu tentang segala hal tentang Xi'an. Sangat direkomendasikan bagi mereka yang tertarik dengan 2 tempat ini.

A six-hour round trip by car... but it was worth it... I paid respects to my ancestors with Ma Ying-jeou on Qingming Festival.

A great experience, playing from morning till night. The scenery was pleasant, and the tour guide thoroughly explained the relevant historical background, allowing us to learn a lot of new knowledge.
