The Fito Museum of Herbal Medicine is a really interesting experience and offers a fascinating look into the medicinal history of Vietnam, which is something I honestly knew very little about before visiting. The building itself is beautiful, filled with character, history, and traditional architecture that makes the whole experience feel immersive from the moment you walk in. The exhibits are thoughtfully presented, and the team there were friendly, informative, and happy to answer questions. Definitely worth visiting if you enjoy culture, history, or learning about traditional healing practices.

Highly recommended visit for anyone interested in holistic medicine, TCM, as it covers the history of Traditional Vietnamese medicine. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the gift shop has a nice array of teas, books, and herbal remedies.

I bought the tickets on Klook. This building was originally a pharmaceutical factory. After the factory moved out, the existing address was converted into a museum for public visits. When you first arrive, they will show you a historical video introduction to traditional Vietnamese medicine, and of course, they will also introduce their pharmaceutical factory. Afterwards, a staff member will take us up to the 4th floor by elevator. The guide will briefly explain things in the elevator, and then on the 4th floor, they will also give us a brief explanation before handing out an English guide for us to follow by number. Of course, we can ask them questions on the spot if we have any. There was a German person who went with me, and not only did he ask many questions, but after he found out I was Taiwanese, he also asked me many questions about traditional Chinese medicine. Inside, there are many traditional medicine tools, medicinal wines, cabinets for Chinese medicine, and books. There are also some doors and walls from the original building. On the 2nd floor, there is a super large Ganoderma lucidum. It looks small from the outside, but I still spent about two hours slowly looking around. I recommend it to anyone who doesn't know what to do in Ho Chi Minh City and is interested in medicinal materials. There were quite a few foreigners visiting. Interestingly, I saw a prescription on the wall called 'Qi Yang Tang,' which, as the name suggests, is for male enhancement. Those who are interested can go there and look for it!

Fito Museum enlightened me on how traditional Vietnamese medicine flourished. During my short stroll there, I was exposed to its deep history. Mine came with a very relaxing footbath. I also treated myself to some of their free tea, which I also bought as a souvenir. They have different elixirs at the souvenir shop too. The experience was pleasant.

It's fast and easy to book your ticket here on Klook. The museum has 5 small levels with English translations and lots to see. I really enjoyed this visit – my first time and it was one of the highlights for me as I learned things I never knew about. The displays were varied, interesting, and give you a good, broad understanding and appreciation of how far, how long, and how much Vietnamese medicine has progressed over the years and centuries. You will need about an hour, depending on how fast you read and how many photos you take. I went in around 9 am, so it was quiet, with no one else but me. The toilets are clean too, a bonus.

This place is especially suitable for those who like Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM); it still preserves tools for processing herbs/minerals/animal ingredients into medicine, herbal illustrated books, and giant Ganoderma lucidum (in the collection). The guided tour provided by the museum is very detailed, and the ancient buildings are adorned with carved dragons and painted beams. Pay attention to the decorations on the eaves and the interesting plaques on the beams and pillars. It's worth visiting. They don't aggressively push products, so no need to worry. The package includes herbal foot spa; those who dislike strangers massaging them can consider this. Relax for thirty minutes with a herbal foot soak. Everything about the museum, including the exhibits, architecture, shop, and English-speaking staff, was outstanding! I was just a little bit bothered by the many photoshoots going on, as it didn't allow us to see the exhibit rooms in the right order. There always seemed to be a photoshoot almost after every room we went into; it was a Sunday. But I do know it's not the museum's fault, so I still give it a 5/5. FITO MUSEUM is really worth going to, especially if you enjoy art, artifacts, and traditional medicine.
