Passeio de Observação de Estrelas em Mauna Kea com Traslados

Tour guide Jessica and Robert were full of energy. They made sure everyone was doing fine and were always smiling. We were lucky to have clear skies, but please note that it's very cold at the summit of Mauna Kea. The vehicle was a bit cramped as it was a full load of passengers. Thanks for the great experience.

Departing from Hilo, those who came from Kona will get off the bus midway and board the Hilo vehicle. We'll then take a 30-minute break at the Mauna Kea Visitor Center. As we ascend to the summit, a local guide will stop along the way to explain the rock formations. After reaching the summit and capturing the sunset on video, on the way down, as the sun sets, we'll be able to photograph both the stars and the sunset together. The guide is excellent and provides clothing to keep you warm, but since temperatures drop below freezing, long-sleeved thermal underwear is essential. Hot packs are also recommended. Cocoa and snacks are provided in abundance.

The sunset and starry sky were more spectacular than I could have imagined, an unforgettable experience of a lifetime. To help prevent altitude sickness, we stay at the visitor center for about 30 minutes, where you can use the restrooms and visit the gift shop. Upon arrival at the visitor center, each person receives a paper bag with snacks, which you can eat in the car on the way to the summit. On the way back, we do not stop at the visitor center, so we recommend using the restroom when you have the opportunity.

Mauna Kea is truly magical! Be sure to experience it at least once in your life. A professional guide will provide friendly explanations. Our guide was "VAL" and she really did her best :))

Weather was not the best for stargazing but had a great time nonetheless with a fantastic tourguide. Would highly recommend signing up for the tour as driving conditions can be quite challenging at night!

First time visiting, I found it magnificent, beautiful, and stunning. It was an unforgettable memory. Although a bit expensive, it was worth it, even though I didn't make it to the very top.

Our tour guides, Robert and Jess, were fantastic! Along the way, they introduced and recommended local restaurants and attractions. When we reached the mountain, they provided warm jackets and gloves, as well as snacks, hot cocoa, and hot tea! During stargazing, they even helped us take photos and look at the stars through a telescope. We highly recommend everyone to join this tour!
