In Xi'an, one can easily take a Didi to visit the place, but without a good tour guide for these terracotta warriors, one may not fully appreciate their true significance and meaning. The price of this tour offers good value for money, almost similar to the ticket price itself plus transport. The tour guide also highly recommended the two performances during the tour to better understand the terracotta warriors. Although the tickets were not cheap, they were truly worth it. Just get them from the discount package offered by the tour guide. I was really impressed by the large scale of the performance. For those who have the Chang Heng Ge performance in the evening, it's best to go for the first show. The tour also arranged return transport for them. The included lunch was quite sumptuous! We got to try local food, which was better than a hotel buffet. During our trip, we were the only Singaporeans, and the tour group was about half full because it was the non-peak period. We also had a great time interacting with others in the tour who came from other parts of China. The bus picked us up at 7:20 AM from our hotel, and we were the last to board.

Overall, I think it's good value for money. There's a bus pickup at your hotel, light snacks were provided on the road, a sumptuous lunch was provided, and main tickets were included. You will need to pay for additional tickets depending on which other attractions you want to visit. We paid extra for the VR experience of the Mausoleum of the Emperor Qin as well as a live musical show at Huaqinggong. At the end of the trip, they will drop you off at a nearby stop within the city wall. We were also given a gift at the end of the trip. The guide was very clear with her instructions and quite humorous too. She also advised us on how to avoid peddlers around the attractions. Overall, we enjoyed the trip.

Remarkable tour with a knowledgeable guide and timing of the journey was well managed

Overall, it was great. We had a shuttle bus, and both attractions had dedicated guides. Upon boarding, we were given headsets, and once set up, we could hear the tour guide and commentators. However, the headset reception was sometimes quite poor, with intermittent sound. The first stop was the Terracotta Army. Upon arrival, we switched to an official professional guide for explanations (it was a group tour, so one guide would explain to about 2-3 groups). The guide was very dedicated and shared the latest information and unearthed photos with everyone. For lunch, we had local family-style dishes, which tasted good, and we also received drinks and water. The last stop was Huaqing Pool. Many people who researched online without a guide felt it was just a pit, but fortunately, our group had a guide who provided a lot of information. We also purchased the Qin Mausoleum VR experience, which I personally enjoyed. The realistic scenes made it feel like we were truly inside Emperor Qin Shi Huang's tomb. The only minor drawback was that when watching the VR, each person had an egg-shaped seat, and you could rotate to see the panoramic view during playback, even looking at the scenery behind you. The downside was that the seats were not spaced far apart, so when rotating, you often kicked others. Finally, thanks to Tour Guide Wang, who diligently took care of every group member and recommended delicious food and drinks! Aside from a few impolite Chinese tourists in the group who pushed us several times, it was a good group tour experience.

It was sold to local travel agencies, but now the local travel agencies charge 100% more. I suggest just going directly to the travel agency affiliated with the hotel; it's the same, and it's half the price. Other tour members paid less than 200 RMB. Next time I travel to mainland China, I won't use them again. I'll just check with the travel agencies affiliated with the hotel to see if there are any suitable tours.

The guide was very nice. We communicated using Google Translate because they didn't speak English, but everything was fine. The site was very crowded because it was Golden Week for the May 1st public holiday.
