Myabi (20-year-old lady) has been the most superb, gentle, helpful, responsible, and knowledgeable guide I have ever known in Japan! Well done for her tender age, I am impressed.

Overall a fun food / sake walking tour. Our guide brought us to some places I would have never discovered. The sake from Kyoto was yum and the food was delicious. The guide was knowledgeable on the different dishes of the region and history of the neighborhood. I only deduct a star because I felt like it was very expensive compared to other food tours I’ve done.

This tour was an absolute highlight of our trip! We explored hidden gems and local restaurants we would have never discovered on our own. Every stop was a delightful surprise, filled with flavors, stories, and dishes unique to Kyoto. Our guide was knowledgeable, fun, and made the whole evening unforgettable. Highly recommend if you want to experience Kyoto’s food scene like a local!

Yukari was an amazing host. Very knowledgeable about the streets and history of Kyoto. She has a great energy about her that will make your night a memorable one. The food was traditional Japanese food, seafood, sashimi, miso, etc.

We had a great evening eating, walking and laughing while making new friends on our first night in Kyoto. The food was outstanding. The restaurants were places I would go back to eat and drink.

We really enjoyed this tour! Our tour guide Yusuke was friendly and informative, he helped our group feel comfortable to open up and share stories as we ate and drank around Kyoto. As it was everyone in the group's first night in Kyoto, he shared a lot of recommendations and helpful tips we could use for the rest of out time in the city. Highly recommend this tour!

This is a must do tour while in Kyoto. Our guide, Eri was fantastic. Extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She took us to places we would never have found ourselves and gave us a lot of information about Kyoto along the way. There was a lot of food, all of which was amazing quality & our family of 5 loved the tour. Would highly recommend

The Kyoto Night Foodie Tour in Gion was an average experience overall. The tour had some positives, especially when it came to the historical context—our guide did a solid job explaining the background of the area and sharing insights about Gion’s culture. However, for a nighttime foodie tour, we expected a much more engaging and energetic atmosphere. Our guide was not very lively, and at times it felt like the experience lacked enthusiasm. Additionally, there seemed to be limited knowledge about the dishes themselves, which was disappointing given that food is the main focus of the tour. While it wasn’t a bad experience, it didn’t quite meet expectations for the price. With a bit more energy and deeper food knowledge, it could be significantly improved.
