It's been a travel tradition that I go to an Observatory during the first day of my travel and the Sky Promenade is a perfect choice since it offers a 360 degree view of the whole of Nagoya. You can even see Nagoya Castle and the Mirai Tower from afar. Taking a timelapse video from above with the bullet train, local train and cars below was great! Came in at around 8PM and there is no wait.

Because the group tour schedule was not flexible, the travel agency arranged for us to stay at the ibis near the station that day, allowing us free time in the evening. After dinner, my husband and I slowly walked to the observation deck building, floors 44-46. When we first arrived at the building, I was a bit confused, wondering if this was really the place, because there was no one around 😅. Later, we followed the signs, and at the entrance, the service staff allowed us to immediately purchase tickets online for immediate use. We just needed to show the ticket information on our phone. There's a restaurant on the observation deck, with a slight smell of barbecue. It was quite windy, and there were also seats to rest and relax, as well as illuminated chairs for photos. It was a good experience. Atmosphere Sky Promenade is an open-air observation deck located on the 44th-46th floors of Midland Square, which is the tallest building in Nagoya (approximately 220 meters). Once you go up, the view is incredibly beautiful, offering a 360-degree panoramic view of the city with nothing obstructing it. When I went, I chose to go in the evening, near sunset. The atmosphere was fantastic. The cool breeze and the city view gradually transformed from golden to sparkling lights. Every photo turned out beautifully. Buying Tickets I booked my tickets in advance through Klook and got a slightly cheaper price than buying on-site, and it was very convenient. I just showed the QR Code from the app to the staff when going up, and I could enter immediately without wasting time queuing. What I was impressed by: • The evening and night views of Nagoya city were more beautiful than expected. • It wasn't crowded; there weren't as many people as at major landmarks. • The atmosphere is suitable for taking photos, listening to quiet music, or just chilling with a loved one. After that, continue taking the escalator up to the 46th floor observation deck. Then you can walk along the observation deck's pathway, enjoying the views to the south, east, and north. Finally, the pathway leads down to the lower level, where there are chairs to sit and rest while admiring the scenery. This time, the timing was perfect to catch both the sunset and the night view, which was truly lucky (sometimes no plan is the best plan). However, the downside of the observation deck is that it's very windy and cold. I initially wondered why it was so cold indoors, but when I looked it up online after returning, I found out the roof is open. It's considered a semi-open terrace.

When the lights come on at night, the entire city's night view is super beautiful. In the distance, you can also see Nagoya Tower and a bunch of twinkling high-rise lights, which is very therapeutic. The atmosphere is very quiet and comfortable, unlike some observation decks that are crowded with people. There aren't too many people here, so you can slowly enjoy and take photos. If you, like me, enjoy seeing night views, Sky Promenade is really a small attraction in Nagoya that you can't miss. It's romantic and relaxing, highly recommended!

Redeeming the tickets was convenient. Signage was provided for easy navigation. We entered the lobby and headed straight to the 42nd floor. The place wasn't crowded. The ideal time to stay would be before sunset.
