We had a wonderful afternoon making sweets. The teacher was amazing. I took my husband, son (30), daughter (23), and her partner, and we all loved it. Highly recommend. We also did the tea ceremony, and it was very informative, especially about the Matcha.
Suki sensei was really knowledgeable and professional. Class was split into two parts, the wagashi making and the tea whisking. Class duration was just right and sensei made it easy to follow with both Japanese and English. Interactive and fun class! Great for experiencing the local culture. Highly recommend!!
It was an excellent experience, accompanied by staff who were as professional as they were pleasant. I highly recommend it.
Overall, very fun! I went on a Thursday afternoon at the 13:00 session. There were only 4 students during that session, including me. The instructor speaks English very well, and she is very nice and explains things very thoroughly. I would recommend it if you are a foodie who enjoys culture and food.
An amazing experience! The instructor was incredibly friendly and patient with all the students. It was a wonderful opportunity to immerse ourselves in Japanese culture, making it both enjoyable and enriching. Highly recommended for anyone looking to slow down and learn more about Japan in a unique way.
The teacher is very kind, gentle, and speaks English well. As an Asian, I had tried traditional Japanese sweets before, but they weren't very tasty, so I didn't have high expectations this time either. However, the traditional Japanese sweets I made were incredibly delicious! She diligently explained the sweet-making process, and every step proceeded smoothly. Don't worry if you can't make it exactly like the sample; the sample is said to be machine-made. The tea ceremony class was interesting, and I learned various background facts. Both classes combined lasted about 1 hour and 20 minutes. It was a rewarding experience and I felt a strong connection to Japan. It's about a 10-minute walk from Nagoya Meitetsu Station.
We had such a lovely morning here and learned a lot about Japanese sweets and Matcha! Really lovely and welcoming atmosphere, and the host spoke English 😊
Our family of 4 (2 parents and 2 teenagers) all had a good time making the nerikiri (even my 16-year-old son had fun) and enjoyed learning about the green tea ceremony. Our hostess was sweet and explained everything in both Japanese and English. She was kind and patient. It is located on the 3rd floor of the building. Our taxi driver was unsure where to drop us off, but we found it based on the picture on their site.
