On the night we arrived in Cappadocia from Istanbul on a domestic flight, we attended a Whirling Dervish show. Photography and videography were only permitted during the last few minutes, so the attached photo is from the very end of the performance. I personally liked this, as it allowed me to focus solely on appreciating the show.

The sema ceremony was amazing. We really enjoyed it. Ozan, our guide, was really helpful. The announcer, musicians, and the dance were truly mesmerizing and captivating. The venue, Motif Kültür Merkezi (Sema Gösterisi Salonu), was in a cave where you could sit around the stage. It's near Goreme city, about an 8-minute drive from the Yakut Hotel Kappadokiya. There is also a gift shop.

A fantastic trip! The booking instructions were detailed, and the pick-up and drop-off were punctual. Although photography was prohibited during the performance, they allowed two minutes at the end for visitors to take photos and create lasting memories.

It's very unique and amazing how they don't look dizzy after spinning for so long. Some of the words he said are from the Quran. MashaAllah.

Very surreal experience of this ancient divine performance with such reverence. They also explained the history behind the art form. Must try if you are in cappadocia, totally worth it!

Очень познавательный культурный опыт. Изначально фото- и видеосъемка были запрещены из уважения к церемонии, но участникам будет предоставлена возможность сделать фото и видео после (будет второе представление кружащихся дервишей). Вся деятельность была хорошо скоординирована. Забрали вовремя, и наш гид Мурат был очень дружелюбен, приятен и связался с нами заранее, чтобы убедиться, что встреча пройдет гладко.

It was a very solemn event, and they thoughtfully designed segments for us to take photos. We weren't left without pictures to remember it by. The spinning felt beautiful and sacred, making it a very meaningful activity.
