Cruzeiro de Aventura no Geoparque Global da UNESCO Langkawi

Thankful to make it for the cruise! Sorry to delay our tour group as we were lost travelling to meeting point though driver was familiar with Langkawi. Business Contact Person took some time to provide location map & send tour guide's contact number. Our boat took 2 couples and our family of 3, guided by Mr Zaid who gave very clear explanation at every point. Half of the world's mangrove species are found on Langkawi, which was declared by UNESCO as a global geopark endorsed for its natural beauty, ecological harmony and archaeological, geological and cultural significance. We cruised through different mangrove forests, meeting macaque monkeys, mudskippers and crabs along the way. The natural landscape of limestone and sedimentary rocks amidst the geoforests was spectacular to behold. We drifted through the bat cave and entered into the sea to watch the Brahminy Kites and white-bellied sea eagles feeding on their catch. The 2-hour cruise ended about 1pm. A breathtaking educational tour for the young and old! Thumbs up! Kudos to the locals for preserving the heritage. Thank God for the good weather. Rainstorm came at 2pm 😅

It was a great experience. The tour guide was very professional and explained the wildlife, mangroves, and eagle species to us. We were also very lucky to see a school of dolphins swimming and jumping beside our cruise.

Junglewalla eco-tourism operator Langkawi Unesco Geopark tour This operator and the tour guides Shafwan and Izzatul deserve a big shout-out. We... maybe I learned a lot from this tour. 1. The whole area - limestone, mangrove... all under UNESCO heritage. So they were well preserved. The trees resemble autumn trees overseas. Why? You have to join the tour to find out ☺️ 2. There are 100+ species of mangroves worldwide. Malaysia has at least half of them, and this area has most of the species in Malaysia. The most abundant is Rhizophora. Did the mangrove area serve as a kindergarten? Mangroves and tsunamis? All questions answered on the tour. 3. We should stop feeding the eagles!!! Why? We will know through the tour. Sadly, although the areas were protected under the UNESCO banner, the animals are not included as part of the heritage. 4. Remnants of charcoal-making facilities can be seen. It's highly recommended if you want to bring your children. So much information.

I highly recommend this tour :) we learned many things about the mangrove forest, Langkawi's nature and the importance of the Rhu trees. Our guide Masyitah was very friendly and knowledgeable! Overall a very nice experience that I would not mind repeating:)

I think this is a super worthwhile tour. We had a knowledgeable guide who speaks great English, and I learned a lot! I think it's a perfect tour for families with kids, going into nature and learning how to protect it.

We booked a private tour for our family of 8 people. We had such a wonderful time on the boat and learning about the mangrove, islands, limestone caves and the ecosystem. We were also pleasantly happy that the company is eco friendly and does not engage in any cluster feeding to the eagles and monkeys to attract them. Our guide, Wonda was nice and had lots of information to share about Langkawi eco system and park. My entire family, including my 5 year old son left the tour feeling exhilarated and more informed. Kami memiliki pemandu yang sangat hebat bernama Wanda yang bersemangat dan berpengetahuan luas bahkan saat ditanya pertanyaan yang tidak berhubungan langsung dengan hutan bakau.

Revisión Mixta de Geopark Adventure Langkawi Nuestro viaje con Geopark Adventure Langkawi fue una mezcla de altibajos. En el lado positivo, el guía fue fantástico. Proporcionaron una gran cantidad de información sobre los manglares, las águilas y otros aspectos del entorno natural de Langkawi, mejorando significativamente nuestra comprensión y aprecio de la zona. El énfasis en la conciencia ecológica fue encomiable y añadió un gran valor a la experiencia. Sin embargo, hubo algunos inconvenientes en el recorrido. Nos decepcionó no poder explorar la cueva de los murciélagos, que era uno de los puntos destacados que esperábamos con ansias. En general, Geopark Adventure Langkawi ofreció un recorrido informativo con un guía experto, pero se beneficiaría de incluir más oportunidades de exploración y aventura más allá del simple paseo en lancha rápida.

The whole experience was amazing, the guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. Both the driver and the guide are always on the lookout to spot wildlife and take us to places to spot wildlife. There is even free water given on board.
