I booked an aurora tour for 1026 HKD (Klook). We didn't see the aurora, but we saw the moonlight instead. We gathered in Rovaniemi city center at 8:00 PM. I have to say, the cold-weather gear they provided was really amazing! Upon arrival, we changed into the clothes and shoes they provided. Then, we waited for all the tour members to arrive before boarding the bus together. The ride took about 50-60 minutes, and we arrived at an outdoor camp. The guides started a fire to ensure everyone stayed warm outside. Then, a group of us gathered in a tent, eating reindeer sausages, drinking hot blueberry juice, and roasting marshmallows. Everyone chatted while waiting for the aurora to appear. You could also go outside to take photos. There was a professional photographer in the group. After waiting for an hour, the guide said the chances of seeing the aurora today were quite low. Everyone could also take photos with the photographer to create memories. We departed around 8:15 PM, arrived at the camp at 9:20 PM, and left at 11:00 PM. Then, they took us to two other camps to wait a bit longer. We didn't get off the bus; the guide checked for the aurora. There was no aurora at either location. We visited three spots in total. Finally, we returned to the city center around 00:45. The whole experience was quite enjoyable. It was also a special experience to gather around a fire and barbecue with people from different places.

This was our second time chasing the Northern Lights, after our first experience in Norway, and I must say the comfort provided by the team was exceptional. They took care of everything, including tents with fires to keep us warm, BBQs, and hot berry juices. While the lights display was more extraordinary this time, that was purely due to luck. I would definitely come back to them if I were to visit Rovaniemi again!

Initially, we didn't manage to get our shorts done well, but we were compensated with a very well-done one. Overall, we were excellent and satisfied.

Sie führten uns perfekt zu den besten Orten, um die Aurora zu sehen, halfen uns, wunderschöne Familienfotos zu machen (die fantastisch wurden!) und ließen den ganzen Abend besonders und entspannt wirken. Dank des klaren Himmels wurden wir mit wirklich starken und aktiven Nordlicht-Darstellungen belohnt. Es war atemberaubend! Was wirklich herausragte, war, wie gut sie sich um uns als Familie mit Baby gekümmert haben. Sie organisierten eine bequeme Abholung und Rückfahrt zum Hotel, sorgten dafür, dass wir uns die ganze Zeit wohlfühlten, und taten alles, um uns bei allem zu helfen. Das machte das gesamte Erlebnis stressfrei und wirklich familienfreundlich.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to Ricardo and Joy for gifting us the most beautiful experience in the world. We came to Finland for our honeymoon solely to see the aurora, and we yearned to see it that much. Thankfully, we were able to witness a beautiful aurora dancing, and my husband could check off an item on his bucket list! The photos Ricardo took were also so beautiful, and I'm eagerly awaiting the day we receive them! And thanks to Joy's wonderful video, I was able to relive the emotions of that day once again. This tour is operated in a small group, you can enjoy the time with the team closely. The tour guide is amazing, knowledgeable and professional, he took care of every one of us, and shared some myths about aurora and arctic culture, which is interesting!

It was lucky enough to see the aurora borealis with a predicted KP index of only 2. The tour took us about an hour's drive from Rovaniemi to ensure there was no light pollution, allowing us to see the aurora directly.
