This is a great itinerary for those who don't want to spend too much time traveling. The 10 AM meeting time is very convenient, making it perfect for business travelers or those looking for a half-day trip. Our guide, Joe, has extensive experience and shared fascinating anecdotes about San Francisco's history, Muir Woods, and Sausalito along the way. Muir Woods is fantastic, a forest full of positive energy and phytoncides. The trails are very accessible; for those who exercise regularly or love hiking, it's just a forest stroll, also suitable for seniors and children. You can choose to take a ferry back to San Francisco from Sausalito for an additional fee. I highly recommend taking the ferry back to enjoy views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Remember to choose the right side of the deck on the return trip for the best scenery! After arriving at the Ferry Building, there's a clean and beautiful indoor food court where you can rest and refuel.

This was a bus journey across the iconic Golden gate bridge then stayed 10minutes to marvel the stunning views of SF bay and bathroom break. Then our next destination was the Muir Woods National monument, with entry tickets included by driver/speaker. He will leave you to explore the park at your own pace for 90minutes. Then, the bus will drop you off to the delightful coastal town of Sausalito. Very nice and relaxing place. We had lunch there and took our time to explore the town. The ferry fare is included so you can extend your stay at Sausalito before returning to SF. The ferry ride gives you views of the Alcatraz Island and takes about 20-minutes ride. Docking at Pier 41, in the heart of Fisherman’s wharf.

Amazingly fresh air at Muir Woods. This tour allows 90 minutes of exploring the woods with the entrance fee included, unlike some others with only 30 minutes and a separately paid entrance fee. The tour bus arrives and leaves on time.

Muir Woods is cool and beautiful in the morning. Walking among the giant coastal redwoods is amazing, reminding us of the beauty of nature. Then, we had a short trip to Sausalito where we had a quick walk around and lunch (on our own). We appreciate the guide who gave us good tips on what to see and where to eat.

La recogida y la entrega fueron en lugares muy convenientes. El guía fue muy informativo e hizo que el viaje fuera divertido. Realmente disfruté de Muir Woods y no habría podido llegar allí sin unirme a un tour, ya que no hay señal para salir.

El guía turístico en Muir Woods fue muy divertido y estaba lleno de datos interesantes. El bosque en sí era precioso y el viaje hasta allí vale la pena. Sausalito es un lugar pintoresco junto al mar, con vistas impresionantes. Tomé el ferry de regreso y me quedé un poco más porque almorcé allí. Terminé de vuelta en el Muelle 39 alrededor de las 3 p.m. ¡La manera perfecta de pasar la tarde!

However, the tour felt a bit rushed at times, leaving us yearning for more time to fully absorb the natural beauty and explore Sausalito at a more leisurely pace. Another aspect to consider was the limited dining options during the tour. While a snack was provided, having more choices for a meal in Sausalito would have added to the overall experience. Despite these minor considerations, the Muir Woods and Sausalito Half Day tour is a wonderful way to escape the urban hustle and immerse oneself in the tranquility of ancient redwoods and coastal charm. The convenience of a guided tour made it stress-free, and the memories created will undoubtedly linger for a long time. If you have an appreciation for nature and want a glimpse of coastal charm, this tour is a solid choice.

The tour was good and decent. With great explaination by the tour guide who was eventually our bus driver too. Muir woods was a good spot nothing much to do in Sausalito. Overall good experience in half day tour.

Tuvimos un gran recorrido por el bosque. Vale la pena visitarlo temprano para evitar las multitudes y pasear libremente por los senderos.

Pick-up was on time. the bus we used was clean and cozy. I am amazed to see the red woods, tallest tree in the world.
