Our tour guide was Tola. I think there were about 18 people in total. I was the only Japanese person; most of the others were from English-speaking countries or countries where English is spoken fluently. I can speak some English, but I thought it might be a bit difficult for those who aren't confident in their English. All explanations were, of course, in English. Also, regarding whether to take the boat through the mangroves, it was asked if anyone traveling alone wanted to go, so if I hadn't raised my hand then, I don't think I would have been able to ride. There was one other person traveling alone who wanted to ride, so the two of us went together. It apparently costs 11 dollars for two people. Only four participants rode the boat, but I'm glad I did. At first, I thought, "Is it really worth it just to go through the mangroves? Maybe I didn't need to ride." But the best part was getting close to where people live on the water. Before that, we walked around the town a bit, but it felt insufficient as we quickly looked around together as a group. So, it was great to be able to get close by boat. The people who didn't ride the boat apparently waited, sitting in front of the same souvenir shop, for about 30 minutes while we were on the boat. Tola's guide was easy to understand, and I learned many new things, which was great. He also offered to take photos for us. Thank you very much :)
It was an amazing trip. You get to learn a lot about the villagers lives while enjoying the scenic views and doing other activities.
I had a very nice tour to Kompong Phluk. Beside village and area around it. Also how different it is during the year regarding the rain season. Thanks a lot to our tour guide Phyrom Hoeum. He explained everything very detailed about the whole trip, the area, the village, the people and done other background information of Cambodia. He helped the whole group the get to know of each other and was interested in everyone’s trip and personal life. Highly recommend the trip and our tour guide.
The tour guide's introduction was excellent! Although it wasn't the rainy season, we were still able to gain a deep understanding of the local customs and culture, which was also great!
I had a truly wonderful experience on the Kompong Phluk Floating Village Half-Day Tour. I was the only participant that day, and it felt like a private, personalized experience. My guide, Phyrom, was fantastic — incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and enthusiastic throughout the entire tour. He took the time to explain everything in detail, shared stories about local life and culture, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and meaningful. There was no sense of being rushed at any point — I could take my time to enjoy the views, ask questions, and take photos. The floating village and mangrove forest were stunning, but what really made the tour special was Phyrom’s genuine interest and energy. It felt less like a tour and more like an inspiring conversation with someone who truly cares about the place and its people. Highly recommended if you’re looking for an insightful, authentic, and unhurried experience!
ガイドのSarunの英語は聞きやすく理解しやすかったです。水上集落に行く前にローカルな市場に寄り、商品を手に取りながらいろいろ説明してくれたので、現地の人々の暮らしについて理解が深まりました。水上集落に着いてからも要所要所で説明と写真撮影をしてくれました。

Good tour and guide! The guide explains some details during the trip and was very nice. But since the tour was made during the dry season the lake is very low. It is good, and let us see with more detail the village but that information should be on trip description. The price is a little high for the experience.
Really enjoyed this tour! Our group only had four people, but the guide was very attentive and never seemed to take the small group for granted. He was very friendly and enthusiastic, and gave us lots of interesting explanations about the floating village and local life. You could really tell that he cared about making sure we had a good experience. Definitely recommend!
Good and comprehensive tour. Guide, Mr. Lok was very helpful and informative. No refreshments were included, which was a bummer, other than that it was a very crisp and compact tour.
