Summary: If you come to Otaru, you must visit Mount Tengu to enjoy the night view, and it's very convenient to book cable car tickets in advance on Klook.
1. We visited on August 7th (Wednesday), taking a bus from next to Otaru Station to the Mount Tengu Ropeway Station, arriving in about 15 minutes.
2. It was raining at Otaru Station, so when we reached Mount Tengu, it was very foggy, and we couldn't see the night view at all.

Very good, a beautiful place, well worth a visit. It would be even better if there were clear instructions on how to get there from the station. When we went, we couldn't find a taxi, and there are very few taxis in Otaru. We also didn't know how to take the bus because Japanese bus route maps look very complicated and are difficult to understand. In the end, a kind Japanese lady helped us take the bus. Luckily, I could speak a little Japanese and communicate. If someone else didn't speak Japanese, it would be even easier to get lost. Finally, here are some beautiful photos of Mount Tengu; seeing the beautiful scenery on a clear day is one of life's great pleasures.
