The trip is by Wine Hop & Coastal Tours. Our guide's name was Philip (Phil) and he managed the trip exceptionally well. He shared a lot of information through the microphone in our tour van and was incredibly cheerful throughout the day. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip to Brighton Beach, Moonlit Sanctuary, Phillip Island, and the Penguin Parade. 🫶🏻 Despite intermittent rain, my friends and I had a wonderful time. Please ensure you arrive at the pick-up spot on time for a smooth journey 👍🏻
Our tour was just chill. We were picked up a little bit late, driver said it was due to road closures. But hopefully the would adjust prior hehehe. We went to 3 places, and the highlight was really the penguin parade. with this tour you got to pay a little extra for the Kangaraoo food to experience feeding them. You have to pay separately to experience the Koala petting which was the highlights of what we did because it does not include in the tour only entrance fee to Moonlit. the Our driver do less talking, she said her microphone was broken, not too much informations about our tour or let us just say she was focused on driving 😄 I guess it was way more expensive than other tours, great ocean road tours by wine hop was Was worth the penny.... But over all, it was good.
The tour operator is Wine Hope and Coastal Tours, and our guide is Jim. Our group had only 10 people, which was a pleasant surprise, so the schedule was managed quite well. We stopped at the Brighton Bathing Boxes, which were cute. Then, after 1.5 hours, we went to Maru Koala and Animal Park. What I loved was feeding the kangaroos, which was worth AUD3. Afterwards, we had dinner at Cowes, and everyone agreed to skip The Nobbies as the sun would set early, and we wanted to get the best view for the penguin parade. Then there was a hiccup, but I really appreciate the operator solving the problem so that we ultimately didn't miss the highlight of the penguin parade. There are two parts: first, the penguins come to the beach, which I think is difficult to see anyway, so I focused on the second part, where you can see penguins along the boardwalk. Make sure to get there early. Even though they say no photos, many people still took them. I wish they would control it better.
6 months ago! As busy work gets, I promised to do a review! Our Wine Hop & Coastal Tours guide, Dirk, is a really funny and chatty guy! Thanks for the fun penguin trivia quizzes along the way and that little secret area you brought us to see the little penguins up close, learned so much from you! Brighton beach is such a beautiful place, the mini zoo, Seal Rock & Philip Island was equally serene and peaceful too! Couldn't find a good photo for the little penguins, but I can assure you, though the wait at the beach is chilly, do remember to bring warm clothing. BUT IN THE END, IT'S SO WORTH IT! They are really adorable! Though I still didn't understand how the conservation center managed to count the total number every night, super awesome trip! - Jasmine from Singapore (I was supposed to use the other Klook account, but I booked this activity under a different one by accident).
I am now loving Australia. Aside from Great Ocean Rd, they also have this beautiful Philip Island! Maru Koala Park is so cool cause you’ll get a close encounter with the lovely kangaroos. Plus, be amazed with little penguins walking right in front of you. Long drive but then again, this will make you feel alive! Jack’s playlist is as cool as him. He ensures to inform as how to enjoy the places esp the penguin parade.
This was our 2nd tour with Wine Hop and Coastal Tours (our previous tour was to Great Ocean Road) and we had a great time as well! We received a Whatsapp from the tour operator on the confirmed pickup time and venue the day before. This tour is more relaxing. We started off at around 11.30am and went over to the popular Brighton Bathing Beach Boxes. Then we continued our journey to Phillip Island, where we visited Maru Koala and Animal Park and The Nobbies. And finally to our main attraction - Penguin Parade. We only had about 45mins for a quick dinner at the Penguin Parade Visitor Centre as the penguins tend to come earlier in Autumn/Winter. The penguins eventually came around 5.50pm and it was a truly memorable experience. We head back to the city afterwards and reach around 9pm. Our guide, Jack, is very friendly. He shared bits of info and pointed out some of the animals along the way. We managed to see wild wallabies and Cape Barren goose (which is native to Phillip Island) thanks to him! One thing to note is good to bring along some food to munch on. The tour does not include a lunch stop, and dinner might need to be a quick one. All in all, an awesome experience and will definitely like to hop on to other Wine Hop and Coastal tours!
Our tour guide was Dirk, a friendly guy who gave us commentary along the way. Time was enough at all places. Got to see the kangaroos up close and personal. Saw wallabies in the wild too, aplenty of them. Was worried that it would be too cold waiting for the penguins at the beach but it was bearable. Glad we came during the winter cos the penguins came in earlier at about 5.50pm and we were back in Melbourne by 8.45pm. Phew!
great experience can see all Australian's animal, specially can see pinguins.. so cute. even have to see those animals under the rains. and the service and driver also nice. the bus also clean.
The tour guide, Russel, is super caring and professional. He brought us to the best place to see the penguins and also stopped by the road when there are little animals nearby
