The tour is nice and the guide was giving a lot of information. However, this one should be highlighted that it is in Chinese ONLY. I can understand some part of the introduction but the experience would have been nicer if I know that this is in Chinese only, no English. I would remember to check all the earlier review before booking a tour now.

The Kaohsiung Love River cruise was an incredibly cost-effective travel course. For an affordable price, we slowly cruised along the river, enjoying the urban scenery of Kaohsiung, the coastline, and the city's dazzling night view all at once, which was highly satisfying. The atmosphere, especially after sunset when the lights began to turn on one by one, was so impressive it was hard to capture in photos. Most importantly, it was even more meaningful because my parents were so greatly satisfied, saying, "This was the best part of the trip." I highly recommend it as a travel itinerary for seniors, as they can comfortably sit and enjoy the night view.

Definitely a must-try when visiting Kaohsiung — simple, beautiful, and memorable!

We recommend two time slots for the cruise: one to admire the magical golden-red hues of the sparkling evening sunset, and the other to appreciate the tranquility and mystery of the city adorned with brilliant lights after dark. On this trip, we took the 6:00-6:10 PM departure during the summer solstice and were fortunate to witness the complete and stunning spectacle of the sunset glow reflecting on the Love River, with the sun slowly descending into the horizon at the end of the Great Harbor Bridge. It was incredibly romantic. Backpackers can take the Orange Line to MRT Cianjin Station Exit 1, then transfer to bus 168 West Loop (stop name: Zihciang Jhongjheng Rd. Intersection) and travel two stops to reach the Love Boat Ambassador Station.

The booth is easy to find despite being a long walk away from either Love or Glory Pier. Our batch boarded the ferry around 4:30 pm so the view was nice. Although our guide only spoke in Mandarin, she made sure to help us foreigners follow along. Overall it was a seamless process.
