The highlight of our trip to Malaysia. Amazing tour guide, great food, good and clean rooms, and the whole ambiance in the jungle made it the perfect trip. We were very lucky to see many different types of animals while joining the night tour and the river cruises. We also did the tree planting where you are able to put a sign next to your tree. So make sure you do not miss out on this trip because it's a must-do!

Our stay was wonderful. We did the jungle walk, 3 river cruises and a night walk in the jungle. Our guide, Robert, was kind and informative. We were blessed to see orangutans in a tree as well as different species of monkeys. We saw a baby crocodile and several types of birds including the hornbill.

Excellent logistics and service at the lodge. Complete sham when it came to the most important part: the river trips. Only two afternoon river trips, and both to the same spots close to the lodge. What's more, the second trip started 10 minutes late and ended 10 minutes early. There were no pre-scouted locations; they'd find a bird, and a group of boats would crowd around it for 20 minutes until everyone had taken their photos. They pointed out a spot on a tree 50 meters from the bank – that was the back of a departing orangutan. And this is a bridge where orangutans often walk. We only saw a hornbill and a proboscis monkey, and that was it. The two-hour morning excursion was also a sham; we just went to a group of lodges. We spent 40 minutes walking through mud around the cottage, supposedly studying the jungle... They enticed us with an hour-long night tour, promising many animals. Again, we were led around the cottage for half an hour – they showed us a couple of birds. I made a scene, and they refunded the money for the remaining half hour. The result: $1000, including flights and hotels in Sandakan and KL, as well as 4 days of my life, were wasted. I saw much more for $50 at zoos.
