A very good museum, with richer content compared to the National Museum of Prehistory in Taitung! There are also many interactive games. The children's hall requires socks and adult supervision! Overall, the admission ticket is not expensive, and parking is free! The exhibition area's flow is also well-arranged! It allows us to bring our children to learn and discover a lot! Highly recommended for parents who haven't visited yet to bring their children here!
This is my first time here, and it has four floors, which are quite enjoyable to browse. The second floor has a children's play area; remember to wear socks! Be aware that there's a break time at noon; when we arrived, there were only 15 minutes left. The admission fee is very cheap, and children under 6 are free! 👍 There's also an indoor paid parking lot.
It's quite convenient to take the High-Speed Rail and then the Southern Taiwan Science Park shuttle bus. For the Children's Hall and other areas, reservations are required on holidays and during winter/summer breaks. Today, even without a reservation, there were still available spots, so we were able to enter. The staff inside the museum provided excellent and professional service. The architecture is beautiful and stylish, though some areas where sunlight shines in can be a bit warm.
Twenty years above ground, two thousand years below ground – it's only now that I've truly come to appreciate the patience, perseverance, and greatness of archaeology. The treasures unearthed from beneath the earth, meticulously pieced together and assembled, then slowly researched to reveal the history of human development, are truly worth pondering. Furthermore, the design philosophy of the building is described in the lobby on the first floor, offering a fresh understanding of this brand-new structure.
The Prehistoric Museum is truly amazing. There weren't many tourists when I went on a holiday, so the experience was excellent. The staff are also very well-trained and their attitude is superb. The venue is very new, and there's a viewing platform where you can take photos. If you're lucky, you might even capture a high-speed train passing by. I highly recommend it for family outings.
It's a great place to pass the time. Since it was raining heavily outside, I looked for a nearby indoor museum to visit. Once inside, all the historical and cultural knowledge I had learned in school came flooding back. It's a very good educational venue, and I recommend everyone come here to visit and learn.
Buying tickets on Klook and scanning the QR code is very convenient and offers great discounts! We wanted to visit the Children's Pavilion and experience the immersive theater, but online reservations require booking three days in advance. Since we went on a weekday, we went to the Children's Pavilion on the second floor after arriving at the venue to make on-site reservations for both the Children's Pavilion and the immersive theater experience. We were still able to get reservations!
One of the museums worth visiting in Southern Taiwan, offering an accessible introduction to archaeology. There is currently a special exhibition on Ryuzo Torii, which is well worth a visit to learn about this important anthropologist from the Japanese colonial period.
